I packed post it notes and a highlighter, someone mentioned that you could highlight the things that you want to do in the Navigator.

I have a question about the teens group. I know that the younger kids will be taken to lunch if they are in the kids club, but do the group of teens just go to whatever dining room is serving lunch if they are together as a group and not with family? Or do they go to lunch with a counselor?

I read somewhere there is a cast member led walk in the morning. How about our first walk we meet at the appointed time and go from there :)

My Mom has asked if there is brewed decaf coffee (well actually my Dad asked me to check for her :)).

How many hangers are in a room? Can we get more or should we bring a few outselves?

Thank you everyone. Eleven days from now I will be pacing the floor at Port Orleans Riverside waiting to be picked up. We don't get picked up until noon so I hope we will be OK to meet the Dis folk at the pool.

On my green mickey head I have my disboards name and my real name. Mom will just have her name since she is not actually a disboards member.

On the CD that Disney sends out there is a picture with Goofy leading a work out. Does anybody know if this occurs everyday or was it just a publicity photo?

Here I sit on my lunch break thinking of nothing but the cruise. I should of been doing something constructive about ten minutes ago. My mind just isn't on anything but next week. I must have had a life before I started to cruise but I can't remember what it was like.
Mickey1fan, I can't remember how many hangers were in the closet but I do know that if the steward has some extras he will get you some. We usually bring just a hanger or two for the four of us. It really depends on how many things that you like to hang. We really don't hang that much because most of our hangables are already on hangers in our garment bag.
I do know they have Decaf. I think it is brewed like the regular coffee, I don't think its the instant kind.

So we talked about this briefly, but which seating do you all have?
We are on the early seating - I called to see if they would tell us which one and no dice - the chickie could not tell me that or which rotation we were in.

We have the late seating ... I'm hoping for the earlier of the lates so we'll see!!

Kat and Deb,

I've been reading this board pretty regularly (although not contributing much), but just want to let you know that I really appreciate you sharing your experience and wisdom!

Only two weeks to go!!

-Jeanne

You are all very welcome ...

I really enjoy the anticipation of the cruise as well ... all of the researching and preparing. It's a real bummer when you get back home and don't have a Disney cruise scheduled to look forward to.

We are probably going to use our timeshare in barbados or turks and caicos next April so I guess I can focus on that, lol ... or get obsessed as my husband would say.

I thought I read earlier somewhere that every person receiveds a lanyard upon boarding. Is this the case?

Vickie,

We had a great time! The weather was fantastic ... sunny and super warm every day. Thanks for asking!

I don't even want to think about unpacking and repacking it all, lol ... UGH!!

That is what last summer felt like to us, we went to Long Island to see family for one week, came home and washed clothes and packed to leave for Ocean City two days later. We were home two weeks, one of which the kids had camp, so I did laundry and then we went on a cruise. We were home a week and a half and repacked to go back to Long Island while my Mom and my sister were off from work. Home a week and then we packed to go to Hershey park as our end of summer thing. It would have been easier to just live out of the suitcase, but the clothes needed to be cleaned occassionally.

Talk about planning for the next trip, we are going to Disney in Oct for a long weekend over Columbus Day and our 180 mark to call for dinner reservations lands on the day we start the cruise. I told DH to start thinking about where he wants to eat in Oct.

We are late dining also.

We felt so rushed to get ready for dinner last summer for a six o'clock dinner time and since we usually eat between 7 and 7:30 (and sometimes later depending on the kids activities) we thought the late seating would work better for us.

We are late seating also. I agree, I don't like to rush to get ready for dinner. It sounds like we will all be split between the seatings.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere, but there is a emergency number in case someone needs to get ahold of you on the cruise.

They need a credit card handy, since its a international call.
Evidently you punch a one or two for Magic. Then provide your room number.

EMR # on Cruise: (must have credit card ready) 888.322.8732
We are on the Magic, Room #

We left this for those watching the house, just in case.

For the doors, we bought magnetic sheets and printed some pics and our last name to decorate it.

Just a suggestion.

To answer your question about everyone receiving a lanyard at check-in, only Castaway Club members (return cruisers) receive the lanyards.

We're early dining. We were on waitlist from late seating and were notified around the time we made our final payment that we were granted early. I would have prefered to try the later seating because I feel rushed in the afternoons, but my parents want to eat early and since they're paying...we're eating early ;) It makes for a nice evening though, to go from dinner to the shows with a little time in between to walk off your dinner.

Hey everyone! Is it really 10 days to go?! Well, I just need to buy a pair of white sandals, much to DH's chagrin...Started washing new things, have not begun packing yet, trying to get DS 17 ready to leave this friday for mission trip to Brazil. His first plane trip ever! Just found out he is not getting back until Sunday, so we won't be able to talk to him until we get back. Planning on corresponding via the internet. Hoping DS 21 remembers to pick him up on Sunday. ugh

DH and I went to DTD on Saturday, had dinner at SSR and ice cream at the Boardwalk. While shopping we found something for our door sign and worked on it on Sunday. Its a hotplate mat, shaped with mickey heads and best of all its lime green for the disboards. I cut out pictures of DH & I and the ship and dvc member in circles to put on the Mickey heads. It turned out kind of cool.

We have our pirates outfits, I can't believe DH is up to dressing up, actually was his idea, and we lucked out by being able to borrow the outfits from our best friends that had them for a costume party.

We have late seating, we had the same for the other 2 cruises with the boys and it worked out fine. Hopefully we get the earlier of the late.

We'll be at the port early and will look for lime green and meet at the goofy pool. Can't wait!!

Kathleenlovesmickey I'm sending you a PM.

See ya real soon, Kim

That is what we are thinking. Plus dh is an early kinda guy, so he would probably fall asleep at the late dinner! :)

Hi everyone!
Well, I thought I was covering my basis with sanitizing everyone that came into contact with us, when DD and DH were playing a game on the trampoline on Sunday and she landed wrong and we both heard a 'snap'.:scared1: Of course, I was hysterical, running a few red lights (thank goodness it was a Sunday afternoon and slow streets) She is screaming, I am ready for divorce court and DH is freaking out. So, we get to the ER and rush her in... They of course were busy in there, but, within 30 minutes of getting there, they already had her on morphine. And asking me if I want a little something to calm my nerves. The Doctor walks in and takes one look at it and says that that is a nice break. I proceed to break down crying and telling him that we are to leave to fly out next Friday for a Disney Cruise!!!! He takes me by the hand and tells me, it will be okay. She will just be in a cast.:sad2: So, he splinted it and told us to go to a surgeon by Wednesday. The splint is way past her knee and we have to carry her to the bathroom and anything else. If you look past a couple pages, I had mentioned that she is a bit delayed, so crutches is out of the question. I thought, there is no way I can do this next week!! Well, we saw the surgeon today and he is going to sedate her tomorrow morning and set it and cast her. They are putting her in a below the knee, waterproof, semi-walking cast! Making it red and putting glitter in it so the characters can all sign it!! I didn't know whether to thank him or just invite him with us:rotfl: He said to go home and pack! So, I am not entirely going to get too excited until I see it and make sure she isn't in any pain. He said by the time she wakes up tomorrow, she should not be feeling as much pain and by next week, to hop and skip with the cast on! So, I will keep everyone posted!! Keep your fingers crossed for us to be there next week!!

Karen

oh my gosh I am so sorry you had to go through that. It does sound like your Dr. is helping out. I do feel for your daughter too as 4 years ago 3 weeks before our first DC I missed a stair and broke my foot. the problem was they did not see the break. I had to go back in a week still in pain. I was hysterical the DR just said to cancel the trip NO WAY long story but I did end up on the trip in walking splint. On the ship I got to leave the muster 1st!
Good luck in the morning. My thoughts will be with you.

I have often wanted to try the late seating, but the early seating seems to match up better with the kids club activities. They eat during the early seating I believe.

I am at one week!!!! Yippeeeee. In an hour, my plane is taking off!

We are doing Universal Studios on Wed thru Sat. My parents are driving up from Tampa to spend the few days with us. They help watch the kids. They'll take Ryan to the pool or back for a nap and we'll take the big kids to the big kid part of the park. Although I think Ryan may be in to joining us this year.

I am just soooooo ready for warm weather and sunshine.

For those who are totally new to cruising, don't be fooled into thinking the welcome aboard drink is free. It isn't. On my first, the cm's just came walking around with a tray of drinks and I took one thinking they are free for the welcome aboard--nope.

Who all is concierge level? I don't need to know your number, just wondering who I will see a the concierge reception?

Ok--I am way too excited!! We are going to start pulling out all the clothes and piling them on the spare room bed. It is going to look so sick!
