I just cancelled a Remy and Palo dinner. One was on Bahamas night other was sea night. Wanted to let people know in case they were needing to pick one up. Now if anybody wants to free up a cabana let me know.

pixiedust: Here's Pixie Dust that you are able to book a cabana soon! pixiedust:

Thank you so much that would make my kids super happy....my DD is 8 and my DS is 6, first time for us and my husband and I are excited. I will make the FE and be excited! We are cabin 8017. What is your room and how many people / ages of kids should I make for you?
Thanks Again-

Working for vacation - I just saw this, and it turns out I have a few extras as well. Ordered extras not knowing exactly how many we'd end up with. I'll add you to our list! :thumbsup2

Thanks SO much to Christopher for the FE map! That will save a lot of prep time. Debbie - did you separate the groups by top half and bottom half of the ship, or is it just coincidence that we're all deck 6 and up?

Getting SO excited! After a couple of days of being down with a crummy cold, I finally got taken out tonight for my late birthday dinner by my hubby. We spent the whole time talking about the cruise and getting so excited! It's hard to talk about it at home due to the surprise factor. Now for some reason we just randomly picked a documentary to watch on Netflix since there's nothing on TV tonight, and we picked one on Titanic. I'm going to say that's just odd timing, and not a sign - ha!!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good week! I know I'll be busy getting things in order. Good luck to all the teams in the NCAA's! Way to go, SpartanDis - your team looked great tonight. Man, we were two closely matched teams this year, with those wins all within 4 points each game. Best of luck to everyone...hopefully we'll get a Big Ten team in the Final 4. :cheer2:

;)Working for vacation.......

No problems on the FE.... I have a few extras and would love to add you to my list. I'm ddeal1957 and my DH (Mark) and I (Debbie) are in rm 9604. Just the 2 of us.

Thanks for the heads up. I jumped on the cruise planner right away and was able to move my Palo from the 1st night to Pirate Night after Castaway Cay. Not crazy about the Pirates Dinner menu and then I don't miss the regular nights in rotation.

So if it was your table that I nabbed at 6 PM on the 3rd...DOUBLE Thank you!

Christopher

Now that being said........I am a single dining at Palo at a table for 2, so if there is anyone who wishes to join me, let me know and we can add you once on board. Oh and the same goes for Brunch on the sea day....have a space at my table.

Hello all.

I have just emailed a new FE map to Debbie. I decided to go ahead and include both FE's on one map but color coded them to ease your searching.

FE Group 1 is in black

FE Group 2 is in red

Since Deb T is in both hers looks like this: Deb T

I have also included our late arrivals who are doing the mini FE with a few of you. Their name is in Blue

I have asked Debbie to send this new map to all that she has emails for but I will also print copies and bring them to the initial meet before the muster and if you are not in attendance there will leave one at your room that first evening.

I do have a question for my FE 1 Group: Does anyone have an allergy to nuts?

Only 2 more Mondays of work!!!!!

Christopher

I have extra too and will add your cabin to my list as well. I'm in room 9008 - Courtney. In my room is my mom Ginny and 6 year old son, Nicky.

CHRISTOPHER- thank you for all your efforts in making the FE map! And no nut allergies for us!

Pleasure to do it. Once I figured out how to draw arrows, it was really easy. Hope it can make the whole thing more enjoyable for everyone.

Thanks, Christopher!!! I feel doubly special to be double-color coordinated! :goodvibes

No nut allergies here, either. :)

Thank you Christopher! I haven't gotten one of your maps yet but I sent a note to Debbie requesting one.

My DD (14) is extremely allergic to peanuts but not tree nuts. No need to do anything special for us though -- managing her allergy and associated risks has been part of her life since birth, so she takes it all in stride -- even if she has never know the joy of a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup (the horror!)

We are super excited as well! Christopher, we would love to have the maps. I represent the Dobo, Davis, Kaplan, Brown, and the Girls' stateroom and no one has a nut allergy in any of the 5 cabins.

Our door magnets are finished and wrapping up the FE gifts. Working for Vacation, we are likely to have extra. I'll get back to you about that soon. We are cabin 9552 DW - Michelle, DH - George, DD10 - Allison, and DS8 - Scott.

I have to share - Scott, got his Black Belt tonight!

I'm panicking, but only a little bit. We're DCL veterans of three cruises, so I'm pretty familiar with what to expect and all. BUT, it's been three years since our last cruise and we're going to a new ship (to us). So, I'm a bit anxious of the unknown right now. We're getting kids clothes lined up, and we realize some new items are needed (they keep growing!), so we're off to Target this week.

Can't recall .. is there a semi-formal dinner on our cruise? Not sure if I should pack a jacket or not. We weren't able to get a Palo ressy for our party of seven adults. I'll try my luck while on board, but I'm not crossing my fingers.

Also, I'd love for you all to stop by our Stateroom door to check out our magnets (still in progress), that recap our prior Disney vacations, cruises and activities. We're in 8023, an interior room in the front (aft?) of the ship.

PS - I seem to recall that there are others who will be staying at Wilderness Lodge / VWL. We'll be there for two nights before the cruise, so maybe we can meet up before we board the Dream!

Awww... don't panic. It's going to be great! :thumbsup2

The Dream will seem familiar to you since a lot of it is set up similar to the Magic and Wonder. It will feel like you are getting a big "welcome back" hug as soon as you board! :goodvibes

Dinners:
Sunday - Cruise Casual
Monday - Optional Dress Up
Tuesday - Pirate Night/Cruise Casual
Wednesday - Optional Dress Up
My DH won't be bringing a jacket, but will definitely wear a dress shirt and tie on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Palo - I believe in Pixie Dust and feel fairly confident that you will be able to book a Palo dinner while onboard. Have you checked online recently? Today, there are 3 dining times available on Sunday and 1 dining time on Tuesday. If you can't get a table for 7 on Sunday, try breaking up your group so that you at least have secure reservations (even if they are at different times), then contact Palo at 1pm on embarkation day and let them know you all want to sit together. :)

We will definitely stop by and check out your cabin door magnets!

I have a feeling that this question has been asked before but I haven't been able to find it yet.

So here goes.....

Has anyone ever shipped a box to the ship before? If so, how far in advance did you send your box? what is the address that should be used? did you ship UPS/FedX or USPS? is there anything special that you need to put on the outside of the box besides name; room #; cruise date; ship name?

I was thinking of shipping my FE gifts to help cut down on the # of suitcases to pack.

Thank you for any and all info anyone may have. Can't believe that we will be cruising so soon!!!!!:woohoo:

Here is what I found elsewhere on the DIS.....but it is a few years old....pre- Dream

Sending a box to the Ship in advance of Cruise

Many people find with the airlines restricting the amount of luggage you can have it is easier and cheaper to send a box of your items to the cruise ship. It is a great way to save room and weight in your luggage when you ship a box containing your Pirate costumes, diapers and baby supplies, snorkel gear, beach toys, etc. Before you ship anything, please be aware of the guidelines below.

Courtesy of the DIS Cruise Board

•One box per stateroom, no exceptions.
•The package must have the guest's full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
•The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
•NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned.
•The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 pounds.
Address your package to:

Disney Cruise Line Warehouse

Guest Name/Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what your room number is)

8633 Transport Drive

Orlando, FL 32832

Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information:

ATTN: Housekeeping

•Name
•Sail Date
•Ship
•Stateroom Number
•Packing slip
Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00 PM for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic. (Saturday)

Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00 PM for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder. (Sunday)

Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00 PM for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday)

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing forbidden is in it, then it will be in your room as usual after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later than the rest of your luggage.

Christopher.....

Thank you so much for finding this..... I greatly appreciate it. :worship:

Can't believe that we will be in Castaway Cay 3 wks from today..... looking so forward to our upcoming trip......:yay:
