Hi and welcome to the DIS!

You can wear anything you want, except they don't want you to wear a bathing suit!

Dress is supposed to be business casual, which at Disney pretty much means no tank tops, cut offs, or bathing suits.

I ate there 2 weeks ago and most people were nicely dressed.

My whole family was disappointed with the experience. We had a very unfriendly waiter and none of us really liked our meals, except my husband, who got a vegetarian dish (can't remember what it was called). It was quite a contrast to California Grill, which was one of our best dining experiences ever.

Not too sure this is a place I'd take 3 young kids either. Boma would probably be more suitable.

In reality, that's about size of it. The "official" dress code is Disney's version of business casual--meaning no swimwear,flip-flops etc. Jeans and "dress shorts" are fine--T-shirts are allegedly out.
But the code is rarely enforced, so I truly wouldn't worry a whole lot about it.

Yep, wear what you want with the exception of tank tops, swimsuits and flip flops. Some people come straight from the parks, some dress for dinner. You will find various levels of dress.

The food and atmosphere are fantastic and the service is excellent.

You do understand that this is a slow, relaxed meal, no rushing. Can your little ones sit still for that long???

Hi,
We actually called Jiko directly to ask about the appropriateness of the kids. They said absolutely. We scheduled the time so they wouldn't be so tired that they'd freak out. We time everything very carefully. Of course, it doesn't work 100% of the time but we have avoided lots of melt downs that way. I don't mean to brag, but total strangers have randomly complimented us on the behaviour of our children in all sorts of situations, including crowded planes and restaurants. We took our twins to disney world when they were 14 months old and they did great at CA Grill and Flying Fish so i'm not too worried about Jiko. My children aren't perfect but in general have great manners for 3 year olds. Thanks again to all of you for all of this thoughtful input.

You can wear anything that you are comfortable in. Our girls like to dress up a bit for Jiko but it isn't necessary. It's one of our very favorite restaurants and we have always had an enjoyable meal there. Im sorry one of the posters had a bad experience. I do hope that you enjoy it. And good luck with your twins. We have identical twin girls that are 14!!
