Applying disney gift cards to cruise balance

has anyone else experienced the process of applying a large amount of gift cards(55) when going through TA taking a long time? I sent an email to TA with all of the info from cards last Tuesday and they are supposed to call me when they are applied so I can give Cc authorization for small amount that remains. I called them 2 days ago and they said they were still in process applying them with Disney and would let me know. Is this normal? I am Castaway silver and am nearing the 90 day mark. I want to settle balance so I can book things ASAP. What are others experience with this?

Last week I sent my travel agent info and she had Disney apply them same day and sent me an email confirmation from Disney reflecting my lower balance. I used about 37 of them. I am not even a Silver member. I know she called them to have gift cards applied. Sounds like your travel agent has been to busy to do that, since my understanding is Disney does it immediately.

The TA has to call in order to apply them. Sounds like they have been too busy to do so.

Just called TA again to inquire when I might have confirmation of payment and they said they are waiting on Disney to send the confirmation payment email, and TA will call them today if they dont hear from them first. So to those using gift cards to pay off balance of cruise dont wait until last minute to do so. I gave myself almost two weeks(was waiting for my 5% pharmacy discount to arrive) but am feeling anxious since I can do check in with Disney at midnight Saturday and dont have confirmation that I am paid in full. From what others have said maybe my TA was to busy to call Disney with gift card info until after I called to check on it Tues.
