Applesauce for child dessert?????

When we were at Disney during December, I noticed that the kids meals at the hotels came with applesauce. Under the dining plan, is the applesauce the dessert or do children pick another dessert also? We're going again in May and decided to get the dining plan. DD HATES applesauce, and I wasn't sure if that was considered the dessert.

The applesauce is part of the "combo" meal for children - dessert is in addition to the applesauce.
