Apples!

I have a good bunch of apples..any ideas on what to do with them to freeze for future use..besides applesauce?

My mom used to freeze apple pie filling. she'd prepare the apples for pie filling in a huge bowl, place them in a zip lock freezer bag, put it in a pie plate, then freeze, after they froze she'd take out the pie plate, but store the frozen pie fillings for later (usually holidays)

You can dry them. I dry apples a lot then put them in freezer bag and put them in the freezer. They make delicious fried apple pies.

I do this with apples, pears, and peaches. Slice them up, put on the brown sugar and cinnamon and freeze them, when I need a quick and tasty (and favorite) dessert I pull one bag out and make a crisp.
