Absolutely not a replacement for a real one. It does alert people to changes that may be abnormal which is a good thing IMO. I personally have mine turned off because I have anxiety and think it would do me more harm than good mentally.
Kind of OT but I notice more people than not these days are wearing some kind of smart watch. Just a couple years ago they seemed rare. For instance every single person at my kids Orthodontist office wears an Apple Watch. It’s a big staff, minimum 20 people every time we go. I find myself wondering if the doc laid one on everyone as bonuses or something. It’s become a game for me to spot one of them without one. (It’s boring there, okay?
