Apple Vs. PC?

I have been a PC owner for the last 8 years and I am thinking about getting a MAC for a laptop. I would love to hear about MACS, the good, the bad, and the ugly (although they are awfully cute looking!). Why should I get a MAC? Why shouldn't I?
Stick to a PC?

Best advice for anyone considering this - walk into any store that sells software and find the Mac section. Can you? How does it compare to the PC section? Can you find the titles you want or need and how are the prices?

One thing I would do is see how comfortable you are playing on the Mac OS. It isn't too hard to do and there are books out there for people switching from PC to Mac, but that is something I would take into consideration too. Also what is drawing you to Macs? I haven't looked that recently but I found MAC laptops to be a tad bit too expensive for my tastes. I was looking into them at one point but then to get a decent sized screen I had to pay much more for it. That is why I didn't look back to getting an iMac after a while.
