Apple Store

I couldn't really work out the best place for this post...so considering how much Apple stuff is used on the Podcasts I thought I'd come here

I'm heading to the World from the UK in January...and considering how much cheaper Apple products are in the US (even with the poor £ to € rate) I thought I may purchase an iPad 2 and a MacBook.

Where is the closest Apple store to WDW? And how easy is it to get there without a rental car?

there's an apple store in the florida mall and i think at the mall at millenia...

There's an Apple store at Florida Mall. That's fairly close to MCO airport.

You might also consider a store like Best Buy (big electronics retailer in the US). This one is in Kissimmee on Osceola Pkwy:

if you ask on the UK trip planning board you'll get lots of info regarding how to get there without a car...

and you'll also get opinions about the relative cost of buying in the US vs UK...

lots of people on the UK board have bought apple products in orlando..

I went to the one at the Mall at Millenia. I was only there the one time.

It was so busy. People everywhere, moving around. I never saw our apple stores so crowded. Ever. Even on weekend nights. I asked the kid there if it was always like that and he said, "Yeah, it's a busy store."

I had to wait forever. It was over 90 minutes to look at my damn phone and then a few more to fix it.

Next time my phone breaks on vacation, I'll buy a throw away and get it fixed at home.

We always travel to the Millenia location. yea it is a little crowded but we enjoy that mall and that apple store more than the florida mall location.

DW does not like Millenia so we tend to visit the Apple Store at Florida Mall more frequently. The Best Buy across the road from Florida Mall is also work checking out as they had special prices on Apple products in the summer.

We have taken home an iPad. Would love to hear of experiences of others taking home MacBooks ?
