HI  Who loves making apple pie? I just got a tip from a good friend. When you go to bake your pie, put in a paper bag to bake. No mess in your oven, it doesn't burn, and its evenly browned. She said its like having apple crisp. I hope it taste delicious. ::yes::

Here's my apple pie trick....my mom just taught it to me recently and it's perfect....

Make your pie (apple, cherry, blueberry, whatever) in a glass pie pan. Then cook your pie for 15-20 minutes on high in your microwave, then put it in a preheated oven (425 degrees) for approx 15 minutes--gotta watch to see when it's brown enough.

that allows it to cook through the center without undo browning of the crust. :)

Perfect everytime. In fact, my dad makes the BEST apple pie in the world and he told me after Christmas that I was no longer allowed to make apple pie b/c I was putting him to shame! ;)

Why would anyone make an apple pie and want it to taste like apple crisp? They are totally different things... and apple crisp is so easy, compared to a pie.... why not just make the crisp? Anyhow, don't mean to sound critical.... I am pie impaired and don't make them EVER!! However, my Dad makes a mean apple pie... I'll have to pass this information on to him!...............P
