Apple computer help needed. Safari problems with HR Block website.

I'm on our Mac and using Safari.

When I am on the H&R Block website doing our taxes, I have the option of clicking on a question and it should open up a little window for me with the answer.

Well, it only opens it about a 1/4 of an inch.

Is there something I can change in the settings to get the windows to open up all the way? I already changed the setting that wouldn't allow pop up windows to open.

I also tried to log in using IE but the website won't even open when I do that.

DH has a long day today and I don't even want to ask him.

UPDATE

IE doesn't help-same thing happens. We installed Firefox-same thing happens.

I called Apple Support and the guy could barely speak English so I hung up.

I went and bought Turbo Tax. Wish me luck.

Have you tried holding the mouse button down until an option pops up that asks if you want to open it in a new window? Then choose that option.

ETA I just tried the site on Safari also and the windows aren't working on Safari for me either.

I really need some of the information from those little windows. I would use our Winows computer but we are painting a room and DH has it all taken apart right now.

Why don't you download Firefox? It works like Netscape and should work fine.

I gave up using the H&R Block site last year when I had problems with it and used https://www.taxactonline.com/s_online_tax/introduction/intro_index.asp?sc=0450302 It was also free last year and this year.

Whilst Safari is a faster and more modern browser than Internet Explorer, it occasionally trips up. You have two choices:

1. Wait. Apple update their systems quite often, so the fix may come quite soon anyway.
2. Download one of the following which should behave properly: Firefox, Netscape, Mozilla. I recommend the first, although I do prefer Safari overall.

Most likely the problem is with the website. There is a lot of internet code out there which is aimed SPECIFICALLY at Windows Internet Explorer and although it is slowly being eroded, some still annoyingly remains.
