Apple Cider Vinegar

I put some in my daughter's hair every once in a while. Don't think that counts.

And I definitely cook with it a lot.....
 
Bragg, just had a straight out of shaken bottle sip with a water chaser.
 

I used to drink an ounce mixed in water everyday. It dropped my blood sugar about 5 points but I decided that wasn't worth it.
 
I tried it for a year or so, didn't see much difference in anything
 
Those are claims, not verified benefits. Other than your account (which I have no reason to disbelieve), nobody else here that report trying it seems to be too impressed.
No different than anything else you take. Like the 12 blood pressure medicines my mom tried that claimed to lower blood pressure, and actually raised her blood pressure. As they say, your mileage may vary.
 
I take a teaspoon of Bragg or Costco organic apple cider vinegar three times a day if I'm home, two times if I'm not. I follow with a plain water rinse to get the acid off of my teeth.
I do this to prevent recurrence of intestinal blockage due to adhesions. Some people drink coca-cola for the same reason. YMMV
 
Never previously heard of drinking acetic acid as having some sort of health benefits. Looked it up on the Mayo Clinic website which I consider a reputable medical organization, they indicate little scientific evidence that it has any positive health effects and being highly acidic can actually cause other issues if taken too often or in large quantity. It might also interact adversely with other medications you might be taking.

The biochemistry of this confuses me. The pH of apple cider vinegar is about 3.4. Your stomach is full of hydrochloric acid and other digestive juices, and has a pH of about 1.5 to 3.5. Doesn't make sense to me how taking apple cider vinegar is going to have any effect on acidity of the system when the stomach is already at a lower pH.
