Appetizers at Blue Bayou?

Does anyone know if they have appetizers at Blue Bayou and what they are? I'm thinking of splitting the Surf and Turf with DH (doing the split plate charge of $8 so we both get the sides), but I think we might want an appetizer to go with it. I don't see any listed on the official Disney website or All Ears, and the menu page on the Dis leads to a page error. The Disney website isn't working right now either, but I looked earlier.

Hmm I havent been for a while, but I remember getting crav cakes last I went, and seem to remember typical southern apps like fried green tomatoes and fried pickles?

Each time I've been to Blue Bayou within the last few years I haven't seen a separate appetizer menu. It's just a starter (salad or gumbo) you can select with your entree. If you opt to split a plate, they will charge a split fee (I believe $12 ... Someone correct me on that if I'm wrong) but will plate the split entree and each of you will get the starter of your choice.

So for the split plate fee do you get both a starter (salad) and the side dishes (I think potatoes and veggies for the surf & turf)? I had heard $8, but if it includes the salad too then $12 is pretty reasonable.

My parents split the chicken dish which comes with potatoes -- which they both got, and also got their starter. The table also gets a bread basket, which has insanely good rosemary focaccia.

With all the eating we do in the parks we didn’t need an appetizer. Save room for dessert (which I didn't really care for there...) or get a snack later elsewhere.

The split plate fee was $8 when we went last year. That said, I wouldn't be shocked if it's $12 now.

We were there last Friday and the split plate charge was $12 and we each received our own starter and side dishes. They were potatoes and green beans. By the way the surf and turf were excellent.

$12 might be a bridge too far for me. We'll probably just do a straight up split now.

Thank you! How did they split the steak? DH will eat the lobster and we will split the steak. Just wondering if they split it after cooking or before. We did a Fantasmic package a couple years ago and it was just the steak, but I couldn't finish it all.
