Appetizers as an Entree

Would places like Kona cafe have a problem with our older children ordering appetizers as their entree. For eg. the sticky wings, shrimp roll and salad served at the same times as our entree.

I really want to eat there, but when I look at the entree menu, I think I might run into problems with a few of my older kids who are a bit picky.

Thanks.

We always do things like that and have never had any problem - but we are also NOT on the dining plan - not sure if that makes a difference.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. When we've eaten OOP, we have been known just to do apps and dessert.

But even if you're on the DDP, it'd be easy enough for the adults to use the plan, and pay OOP for the kiddos. You'd end up with extra TS credits, though, and would have to figure out how best to use those.

We're not doing the dining plan either, so it sounds like I can make a reservation:-) Thank you!!

We did not get the DDP last trip. Mostly what I ordered was a salad and an appetizer. It was never an issue. That is partly why we are doing a split stay next time, being on the DDP for only half of our stay.

It's never a problem. I will order like this "I'd like *fill in the blank with your appetizer* as my meal". That way, the server knows you are only getting that and you would like it served with everyone's entrees. I often do this when mussels are on the menu as an appetizer. I love them, no one else I know does and a Disney appetizer is just enough for me.

If you are on the dining plan, if the kids are 10 or older they may be able to order ONE appetizer as an entree. (Substituting one for a dessert is not permitted but they might let you get one as an entree.) Then again, the restaurant might not permit it, so you'd have to ask when you get there. If they're under 10 on the plan they have to order off the kids menu anyway.
