Appendix Update!!!!

For those of you who helped out, posted advice, sent p&pd, etc. w/regard to my whole ovarian cysts and appendix issues, here's the final outcome:

after undergoing a CT scan yesterday, the results are in (drum roll, please!). After walking around w/this for 2 1/2 months, they've finally determined that my appendix will not heal on its own and must come out. They stated that there is still some infection (although not as badly as before) and they need to take the puppy out. Honestly, I could have told them that 2 1/2 months ago and saved us a lot of time and testing and other nonsense.

I have to talk to surgeon on Thurs. to get details of surgery. I am not looking forward to it, but glad something's going to be done!!!!

This couldn't come at a worse time -- the start of the school year. For 2 1/2 mos., while I've been on summer vaca., I've been waiting to see what would happen as the Dr. thought this might "heal on its own". I could have had this appendix removed in mid-August and been fine for the start of school, but Dr. wanted to "wait it out". This is our first full week of school and my Kdg. students are just getting used to me!!! I know Dr. will want to do surgery soon. Yikes!!! If only it could wait another month!!!

Oh, Susan! I'm sure you were so glad to get the news you wanted to hear! You'll be finally getting that "grotty" thing out of you, and can get some resolution to this!

I'm really happy for you--I know how heavily this has been weighing on your mind, and even though you have to have surgery, it'll then be over and done with for good!

I am so glad that they finally have things under control. Now maybe you can get this done and start feeling good again.

Well, finally! I'm glad they decided to do something. It will all work out with the timing. The main thing is to for you to heal and be healthy.
