Appears to be Noro on the Wonder

As Mandlz stated the cruise before there were a few incidences of the Mickey Pool being shut and all kids out of pool by order of lifeguard, don't really know why, just saw them shutting pools down. This last cruise it must have either started on the first night (super kid soup in both pools) or Castaway Day. We heard from a parent that went to medical just before dinner with their child that Medical was full of kids, so yes it was mostly the children. Hard to say if it was from pool or club, but since Med was full before MDR on Castaway Day I bet it was the kid soup pool. CC was almost deserted till noon at the first FB. FB at PP was a bit fuller by noon then full by say 1pm, so lots of people stayed on the boat that day. All hammocks were empty at first beach and a few at second sat empty. By the time Nassau day hit we heard it was around 80 kids sick and only some parents.
The last time that I heard the pool closed, my mother was there with my 3yo, and had just gotten out when the lifeguard blew the whistle to clear everyone out cause someone had thrown up. I want to say this was the last day of the cruise, but it could have been the day before as well. It was closed more times than not when they went up there to swim, which seems like a good thing from what I'm hearing!

That's pretty impressive that they were able to start boarding by 2! That's a big ship to deep sanitize on top of all the normal turnover they have to do. That was nice of DCL to give the stateroom credit. Most people are only boarding a few hours late so they weren't missing a whole lot. Hope you enjoy your cruise @dclpluto!

I just hope that they were thorough enough. Doesn't make much for it to spread again if not wiped out. My wife and I board on May 18 for the repo cruise from San Diego to Vancouver. I just ordered chlorox hydrogen peroxide wipes from staples.ca and they should arrive in time. What are the odds? My first ever cruise. No major norovirus outbreak on dcl since 2002. Like I said, hope they do a good clean. It took a lot to finally talk my wife into a cruise and we thought Disney was the safest choice. Who knew that room service served irony?

Honestly, I wouldn't worry much. We were in the center of it and just kept washing hands and avoiding elevators, which we do anyway because stairs are faster, and we were fine. Took the shuttle with families that all practiced the same and we were all fine. Be smart, sanitize, wash hands well and may want to pickup the mini Lysol cans to spray room with. That ship was beyond sanitized. BTW we only did the pool for an hour on the first day. Then more families came on and that was it for the pool for us. Besides there is so much more to do we really couldn't fit it in.

4 out of our party of 9 got norovirus at Disney World in 2008. It can happen anywhere. I am sure it happens at WDW a lot but there are so many more people there so you will never hear about it.

WOW, she's still in Port at 7:30......
Everyone onboard is on one super clean and sanitized ship!

Some Lysol does kill Noro virus, but you need to specifically read what viruses are covered by it.

Lysol says that certain hospital grade products "are likely to be effective against EV-D68".

But your average Lysol wipe or spray from Target will not kill it. Many people think that those little wipes and sprays will protect them and they wont. Hopefully, that knowledge will help people not spread it by thinking they are protected when they are not.

Scheduled to leave at 10:20 last I heard. Someone's luggage got dropped in the water and they have to go get a prescription refilled on the ruined medication - whoops!! :confused3

Apparently they had a hydraulic issue that caused the luggage to fall. I just can't even at this point. Noro, luggage falling in the water...it would make me want to skip the sailing.
