Apparently, Narcoosee's considers 9 to be a group. Must call back at 5 pm...

I had a successful morning of 180+10 ADR making today. Got up at 3:45 my time and waited the hour and 15 minutes, continually checking to see if it would let me through the system early ;). It didn't! Anyway, got everything I wanted besides the dessert party, which is not up yet and Narcoosee's.

Narcoosee's was frustrating. It wouldn't let me book online for 9 people, so I knew I'd have to wait until Disney's 7 a.m. (my 6 a.m.) to call. Pulled out the tricks for getting through quickly and still waited about 12-15 minutes to talk with someone...who could then not help me. Sigh.:worried::(
She said I would have to call Narcoosee's at 5 p.m. (wondering how many spots will be left by then) as they consider us "group dining".

Now, I'm pretty tired as I couldn't fall asleep until close to 2 p.m. Going to try to head back to bed to catch some Zzzzz's...:faint:

You should be able to get it. I ate there when they had a free dining plan going and had no problems getting in. Since it is 2 meals, most people don't rush for it. They're more likely to spend the 2 credit meal for V&A, CRT, Candlelight Processional or Le Cellier. As I recall the layout, you will possibly be up front where the fireworks is going to go off anyway. You can also see the water electrical parade from your table as well. If not, they have a wonderful deck to watch from! Have fun!

Thanks for the encouragement! I should know in the next hour if we can get our table!

Good luck! It's a great place to see everything! I was surprised at how few people were in the restaurant when we went, but it was rather late, as we wanted to see the fireworks from there. We were there year before last the 1st week of December.
Leave early for it, though! A lot of the boats were not running and we waited over an hour to get on a boat to take us over. Our friends had a reservation at the same time for Ohanas, and they were around 20 minutes late for their reservation, though they got in line for the boat 55 minutes early. As soon as we saw the line we texted them and told them they had better get to the boat dock. One nice thing: they were on a boat in the water while the water electrical parade was going on around them.

I agree that the OP shouldn't have too much trouble getting the ADR at this point.

Just to clarify, but V&A is only eligible for the Platinum Plan. You cannot use DDP, DxDP, or Premium plan credits at V&A.

Also, I have seen large groups placed on the inner row of the main floor. You can still see the fireworks, but people in the outer row and out on the veranda may impede the view.

I was able to speak with someone and book it for the night we wanted. Hooray! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you were able to book Narcoossee's. It is one of our favorite restaurants. Most likely you had to call because the restaurant doesn't have large tables. The larger groups we've seen there have been at tables that were pulled together or next to one another.

Thanks, I didn't know that. Never had an interest in eating there because we've always had small children with us and I don't consider it a children's restaurant. Well, I WOULD be interested in eating there IF I didn't have small children with me...

V&A does not allow children under 10 to dine in the main dining room.

The only way to go there with children under age 10 is to book the Chefs Table or to book the entire Queen Victoria Room for your party.

V&A is available on a plan only with the Platinum Package plan and even it is not a 2 credit restaurant. On the premium and platinum package plans, all restaurants cost one dining credit.

I agree, the OP had to call because the size of Narcoosees prevents booking of many large parties at one table - it's not a big restaurant and they would have to assemble a large table or arrange to split your party at tables near each other.
