Apparently Disney Is Closing VMK For DGamer

I really wish VMK was accesible through Nintendo DS. That way one those lonnggg car rides and flights, could go on it...I don't even have a DS but it would be so awesome if VMK could be a game you download from iTunes..but then again it would have to be one of those superrr popular games with tons of thousands of players playing the game.

Well I wish vmk was accesiblie through DS too. Well maybe somewhere in the future vmk will come back. We'll have to deal with pickle for now though.

Clearly not - which in itself may have been the problem. They were producing a game they did not understand. :confused3 That can't be good. Very dificult to develop something when you don't have a clue.

Isn't that something? I have no doubt that the people directly involved with the game knew of its awesomeness, but because of how it was developed, nobody else saw it for what it's worth. They think that since it wasn't created as a stand alone game (it was created as a WDPRO promot- ok i'll stop :p) it's automatically not as good as the ones developed as games by WDIG.

Really, I see a lot of evidence of not-getting-it over in WDIG, so it'll be interesting to see where they go with their strategy. They're making a dozen of these games over the next year or so- do they really think each is going to be as successful as VMK? The way they closed this game does not leave me with much confidence in their understanding of the community factor. They do realize there are people behind these avatars, right? Can big corporations fall victim to online disinhibition effect as well? :rotfl:

Aimbier31: I agree! :woohoo:
