App Wait Times Inaccurate

I posted about this last week but we went again yesterday and noticed the same issue. Many of the app wait times are so off... not even close. Yesterday Little Mermaid was displaying as temporarily closed all day on the app (it was open and it was a walk on). Jungle Cruise showed a 15-minute wait... it was a walk on. Flick's Flyers showed a 15-minute wait... walk on. Pirates showed 20 minutes and it was a walk on. To be fair, these worked in our favor yesterday and it was totally dead yesterday due to (I'm assuming) 100 degree temperatures, but it's just something I have noticed the last two visits and I wanted to see if anyone else noticed it too. In the past the wait times have been really close in my experience (for the most part) and it has always been so helpful when trying to decide what to ride next.
 
FWIW I was stalking yesterday as well and Ariel showed the star with no wait time listed, but when i clicked on it, it didn't say it was closed. I was wondering what was up with that. I always assume Ariel is walk on :)

Hmmmmm so weird, at one point when I clicked it said temporarily unavailable and since it was like that so long I started hunting around for refurb info (which of course there was none because it was fine) and when we got closed we decided to check it out and it was fine.

I was chatting with a few teenagers while stuck on Grizzly and they said the same thing happened with BTMRR... app said it was down for a long time, they walked over there and it was fine.

I wonder if it could have anything to do with phone service in the park and needing to refresh the app or perhaps reboot the phone? It seems if you are not on their WiFi and don't have AT&T service is spotty at best inside the parks and even their guest WiFi is constantly in/out of service areas...

I do close the app to refresh before checking wait times again. I don't think it's an app issue, I think it's an issue with whatever process they use to post wait times to the app.
 
I've been seeing wonky things myself the past few days and I'm not even in the parks. Some stuff will sometimes not show times at all- this happened with POTC and GGC for example. And then other times the ride clearly isn't open due to the park not being open and it'll list a time anyway.
 
I usually run 2 or 3 apps, compare when doesn't seem right, or take an average. To ve fair I have also seen the actual sign in front say 15 minutes when its walk on.
