App Planning confusion

I have an MDE account, and have 5 of us going. Although I will plan passes, ressies, etc for alot of this, there will be times when the older kids will go off on their own. We've been many times and stay for a long trip.
The App and MDE confuses me a little.
I'd like for these kids to have the ability to maneuver their Genie + selections, Mobile order, etc, on days or times when we split. Some might park hop one way, etc. We will all have all the necessary additions to our tickets to do whatever we want and the kids all know how to maneuver around the park and change things etc,
Is it possible to have at least one of these kids have their own MDE that is linked to mine so they can make their own changes, charge food orders etc? And if so, how do you link them an account? If this works, can they make passes for our whole party as well? I'd like my oldest son to be able to do all this.
Or would I simply have him get the App and also be signed into my account? But can we both be doing things on it with different devices?

Either of those methods will work. You can be signed into one account on multiple devices at the same time. You can also set up an account for your oldest, using his email . Go to his profile on your account under "friends and family" and select update. There is an option to "share planning with ...", select that and follow instructions. Make sure you have checked the boxes to see and share plans. Also, give permission to your oldest son to manage plans for the younger kids by adding them to his list once his account is set up. You'll receive an email from him with a friend request for each of them, accept it and check appropriate boxes.
