Can anyone tell me if there are likely to be APH available for end August/beginning of Sept? Still to book flights, but probable dates would be last 3 days in August. Would prefer Hard Rock, second choice RPR.
Thanks

They will probably be available around June....I still check once a week though lol. You may get a better deal with the Stay more Save more rate since you are staying 3 nights.....er maybe not...just read 3 days...the SMSM rate starts at 3 nights :) If you check the old stickies for 2011 and 2010 you can see what discounts were offered for your time. I'll see if I can find them to make it easier on you ;)

Hi, thanks so much, that's really helpful, and yes it would be 3 nights. I've just done a dummy booking for 3 nights on the stay more save more, so will compare that with anything else. Do you have to ring the hotel to check for APH rates, or would that come up online? Also, do you happen to know if they still do AAA rates, and also whether they are bookable online or just by 'phone. Sorry, so many questions! Thanks for the links, I will go and have a look and see what was available in previous years. :thumbsup2

The SMSM rate is usually the cheapest...and trust me, I check my rate ALL the time. Just add APH in the rate box to check for it. If it doesn't show up then it's either not available or not out yet. Checking the AAA site, the SMSM rate is cheaper for our August dates. I would go ahead and book the SMSM rate. You can always call the hotel and change your rate if a better one comes out :)

when the travel companies release the block of rooms they have held back to the hotel, those rooms usually are deeply discounted for the AP rates.

(travel companies will gain blocks of rooms at hotels to use in packages they offer to clients. if they have not sold off the packages, they give the rooms back to the hotel for their bookings.)

problem is, it's usually a quick 2 weeks to 10 days out when those rooms get put back in the inventory and available to book.

if you booked with the AP for your reservation, watch the website for ap rates dropping for your time period.
call immediately and get the new rate, modify your ressie.

when those block of rooms have been filled, that ap rate can change again.
