I am SO confused.
I am hearifn you CAN get AP w DINING and I am hearing you can NOT..EVER...LOL.

I first had a MYW reservation and *heard* that the AP's can ADD the DDP w it. Called Disney, and after being on hold for a WHILE...the CM found the code and we took off the MYW tix. .
He said it was from JAN-end DEC 08 and for 09, as well. So we changed it.
My TA gave me air FOR my WDW trip and before paying off my balance, she tells me I do NOT get the AP and the DINING. and that I HAVE to buy a OND DAY ticket in order to get the DDP.

Does anyone know FOR sure???
Disney is quoting me 1400 for room, AP hopping and DDP, while my TA is telling me it will be over 1600.00

You now can, I don't know if you could in the past, but I did see information about getting the Dining Plan if you have a room booked with your AP.

I just booked the new January AP code for a moderate for $99 a night (Holiday surcharge/MLK weekend--the lower code is $89 a night). I added the delux dining to it. So was able to get a discounted room, plus added dining and didn't need a ticket (esp. since we are all AP holders).

Youve been able to do a ticketless AP dining package for like 8 or 9 months now. Sounds like your TA is out of date

Definitely out of date. I used an AP code for my room last May and was able to purchase the DDP with it, without having to buy a one day ticket. I believe last May is when they first started allowing AP holders to get the DDP without buying a one day ticket. Now adding the DDP does change your reservation from a room only to a package, with all the pkg requirements (must be paid in full by 45 days out and penalties if you make a change that decreases the price of the pkg after 45 days, etc).

The only time an AP holder has to buy one day tickets to get the DDP now, is for the free dining.

I guess sometimes some get confused with Free Dining offers and having to purchase at least a 1 day pass or the fact that AP holders couldn't even purchase the DDP prior to Jan 2008 without buying a ticket as well.

I went to see my TA, yesterday.

I walked right in, sat right down and told her to MODIFY my ressie, to a
PASSHOLDER room and the dinning package to it.
I then told her I did NOT need to add a 1 day ticket, unless I had FREE dining.

They are SO messed up other there. :rotfl:

to the OP, were you able then to add the dining package without adding a 1 day park ticket and this is now confirmed on your reservation issued by Disney? I just spoke to guest services day before yesterday (was transferred by CRO) and was told that in order to get the DDP and use an AP code for the room, I would need to buy at least a 1 day park ticket along with proof of the Annual Pass. This guest service agent really seemed to know what she was doing, as she fixed a problem I had with my reservation. Let me know! Thanks

Youve been able to do dining with an AP for like 9 months now without buying any tickets. I love how clueless even guest services can be

To me it's just so much easier to book myself and be able to call and change things as offers become available and not to have to depend on someone else.
