Ok.. So I have decided to bite the bullet and do the AP. I am hoping for some AP discounts for the time we are there but if not oh well.

I got the AP voucher. Just wondering where do I go to redeem it? How long does it take. Do I have to do it right away when entering the parks, or can we ride a few rides and then go do it? What time does the AP place close? Is there a best time to do it?

Any advise................

Does it look like a ticket about the size of a creditcard? If it does, it allows for admittance for one day. Go to "Vacation Services" inside either park to get your picture taken. I'd do it early in the day because at park closing it is very crowded.

If what you have looks like a voucher (the size of printing paper---8 by 11), then you have to go to Guest Services in order to get inside the park. My guess is you have the ticket not a true voucher.

Yes... In addition to the paper they also sent a ticket to get into the park for one day. Are the locations only inside the park??

You don't need to stop at guest services. Just enter either park with your ticket and go to Vacation Services inside the park.

Vacation Services is right next to Guest Services at Universal, right after you enter the gates on the right hand side.

At IOA, Vacation Services is toward the exit area in a building with a blue roof. When you enter the gates at IOA go toward your left across the courtyard area. It is near the stroller and wheelchair rentals.

I'm going to tag along your thread.

How about checking in with my APH voucher? Will I be able to, or do I need to activate it first?

I cancelled two nights of our WDW trip, bought a PAP for Universal and booked two nights at the APH rate. Will they let me check in with the voucher? I bought the PAP online, so it's paid for already.

I honestly don't think you'll have a problem. Many people aren't even asked to show their APs. What I'd do would print off your confirmation when you ordered your AP for proof that you bought the AP, just in case. The most that will happen is that they might ask you to bring your AP back to show them after you get it.
