I have a preferred pass that I renewed in March. I have't received an email about adding on Volcano Bay. I know the published prices. Was there anything else in the email of use? Is there a date by which you have to do the add-on? Are they allowing it over the phone or online yet? Thanks

From what I last was told the $99 add on was good until may 25th.

Did it have to be done in person? We don't live in Florida and won't be there until late on May 25th.

Does anyone have a phone number to call from the email?

This is what I see...

I just called them. You can do it online. I know the pic I posted was for FL resident but I told them I need to know for out of state AP holders. Ends on the 25th of may. No express included with deluxes, virtual and standby lines will exist as well as express that can be bought. I know some of this info has already been posted but just wanted to update.

And I was just told over the phone a couple of days ago that I had to be there to add VB to my seasonal pass which expires in Sept. Your page shows renewal, not simply adding on VB. Did you mean you can add VB to existing passes over the phone also?

This is what the website says about upgrading seasonal AP- Visit the Passholder Upgrade Center at Islands of Adventure™ through May 25, 2017, between 8 am–6 pm. Also " all Passholders must be present in order to upgrade or make changes to their Passes."

I was told you can add it online. Just passing on what I was told. We all know how that goes. I'll find out in a few weeks when I go down, if it hasn't been clarified yet.

ETA: I just called the AP number. Told renewal can be done, with the $99 add on if you are up for renewal. Meaning within the 30 day before or after expiration date. As of now the $99 offer does not have a expiration date. It's $149 for premiere. Don't shoot the messenger! I'm just passing on what I'm told. I also have some emails with guest services that have quoted prices. I'll let everyone know how that goes after I have been back in a couple of weeks.

So, it sounds like it's still in person to add on VB if you are not up for renewal. Good to know that the $99 doesn't expire. I was getting a little worried. I have to pick up my son's AP and our premium seat vouchers in person at the ticket counter anyway, so hopefully I can do that VB add-on at that time too. However, I am going to keep an eye out to see if I can do it online before hand. Thanks for the info.

Please let us know if you successfully add it online. I'm thinking I will probably just buy a 1 day ticket for $67, debating on whether to buy the unlimited express pass also.

I called the AP phone number this morning. They said that they will only do the Volcano Bay AP upgrade in person. I explained that I don't live in Florida and won't be at the park by May 25th. She said that the upgrades can be done at the upgrade center until May 25th. After that, they can be done at guest services at the parks, including the one at Volcano Bay. She said guest services open 30 before park opening, but I wonder if that's regular park hours or early entry. We are going to hit Volcano Bay at early entry at 9am on our first morning. We arrive after 10pm the night before. I will need to upgrade my AP before I can get into the park though. I am wondering if I should walk from RPR to Islands that first morning. I know the upgrade center opens at 8am. I need to get stuff from the ticket window too, ie son's AP and Express Passes. I wonder if the Islands ticket windows would be open by 8am. They have early entry starting at 8am on that day.

Can't you go to Citiwalks guest services when you arrive?

I don't know if it will still be open. We don't land at MCO until about 10:30pm. What are the hours for the City Walk guest services? It's near Margaritaville, right? I had forgotten about it. If it doesn't work on our arrival night, it would be closer the next morning than walking all the way over to Islands, assuming it's open.

I was just informed(I called) Citywalk guest services can not give annual passes. Sorry to get your hopes up, but at least we know now.

Thanks for the info. That saved me a trip. I really only need the upgrade, but I can see them not doing this except at the parks. I might hit GS and the ticket office at Islands, since I think it will open before Volcano Bay.

Universal website says that you can now do this at the ticket windows at any park.
