We have two reservations linked to one account in MDE. We have purchased the memory maker. Can all of us on both reservations use the memory maker? I personally am on the second room with a 5 day base pass. I am wanting to upgrade to an AP. Will I get credit for the memory maker towards my purchase of the AP? Also on our arrival day we are going to Disney Springs. Where in DS can I upgrade to the AP? I want to be able to use the AP discounts that night. TIA!

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. The Guest Relations in DS is called the "Welcome Center."
(Centrally located in a beautiful, comfortable new building.)
4. Have fun!

Thanks so much. Do you just tell them at check out you have an AP to get your discount? I have never had an AP before.

We did this in May at Disney Springs guest relations. It's not far from where the resort busses drop off. The CM had a very hard time getting the value of the memory maker applied towards the APs. Took quite a while and eventually took a manager to do it. They did work it out and we were charged what we expected. Just a heads up.

Just tell them you have an AP at checkout. I usually just hand them my AP and ID together.

Everywhere I buy something (aside from a vendor cart) I ask if they have AP discounts. If they do, then you show your AP card along with I.D., and they take the percentage off.

Also keep in mind that the AP holder is suppose to be the one making the purchase. So you can't go up to the register with a friend who's buying something and show your AP to try to get them a discount. Of course you could always get the money ahead of time or after and pay for the item instead..but just be aware of that

Some of those carts, especially in hollywood studios take the discount.

tip: the carts that offer it tend to have bottled water at $3.25 and not $3.

When I upgrade to the AP will it be upgraded in MDE? I won't have a problem with booked FP?

No problem at all. The CM will link it up using your magic band.

FPs are not linked to "specific tickets."

A guest just needs to have a ticket of some kind with enough "days on it" to make the FP reservations in the first place.
After that, it doesn't matter which ticket that guest uses to get into the park.
That guest will have access to her/his own set of booked FPs on that date.

A slightly different scenario: what if the OP didn't purchase the memory maker in advance? When he upgrades to the AP, I know the memory maker is included. Is it immediately activated, though? Trying to decide if I should purchase mm in advance even though I know I will upgrade to AP.

Sorry I was unclear. The CM will link the AP to his MDE account (usually using his magic band). I meant to be more specific but was typing on my phone.

It's pretty close to immediate. Also, shortly after I purchased my AP the pictures we had taken in December showed back up in my photos since I now had access to them for, I think, 365 days after they are taken.

What you said was fine.

I was just clarifying about how FPs relate to tickets and guests, in general.

Because the question of "What will happen to my FPs if I upgrade?"
is one of THE most asked (and misunderstood) of FP/ticket situations.

There's no reason to purchase MM if you're getting an AP
