Anyone else take this? I am actually pretty excited for changes they may take. They talked about making a base AP for 99$ with no benefits and you pay per addon kinda thing. Also for a $15 addon to what you currently have they give you more benefits. A cpl of them were worth the extra $15 to me but one imo wasnt. Hoping they will go in affect soon as my pass expires soon and still undecided whether to re up.

I can't remember if I took that one or not...I know it wasn't recently. My renewal is $117.00 so anything else would be more expensive for me. I like all the discounts I currently receive with my Preferred AP. :thumbsup2

Some of the new benefits they talked about was.... Special late night hours for AP holders, Closer parking, Free water coupons, 25% discount on express, 10$ friend entrance fee, special entrance for AP, 10 min early entry to get to lines first, some days 1 hr before ent, 20% disc for food or 35% disc for certain food, Coupon book.

Personally would love to see the $10 friend ent fee. The discount on express would not be bad either.

Yeah I just took that survey as well. They already do the bottles of water for the Premier passholders, which is a nice perk, but I'd rather them charge me $20 less for the pass.

Anyway, I think the $10 bring a friend idea is horrible. Whenever King's Island in Cincinnati does the bring-a-friend promotion the park is just chaos.

Metro, is it really only $117 to renew the preferred AP? Not bad.
I don't know if that includes new passes or not. When I got my AP, it was only $159.95 and now it's $229.95...that might be a little low for the new passes but if it is...that's great! :teeth:

Those are some interesting benefits they are thinking about. I like the later hours, closer parking and special entrance especially. :thumbsup2

I got the email survey today and going to take it tonight.

Also mentioned 50% off Sea World tickets which would be pretty cool too imo.

I just took the survey. It seems that many of the options would benfits the local AP holders because several options indicated select nights.

Odd, I don't remember seeing that option. I also noticed that there was no mention of hotel discounts!

Was the first question on the survey. You are right it does seem to target locals with the select nights stuff.

I like that suggestion because we can only go to the parks on weekends since they close so early. It's kinda hard to get home, change and go back over for only an hour or two. And if you get off at 5pm...forget it. If they stayed open until 7 or 8pm then it's a different story.

I just took the survey...seemed pretty cool to me.

I took the survey a day or two ago. Anything that makes taking friends in cheaper works for me. It was either that or another survey that wanted to know how much AP holders spend on food and why not more. The AP discount is no better than the AAA discount. Increasing the AP food discount would be a big motivator to eat more in the parks.

I didn't get the question about 50% off SeaWorld. I got discount on Wet n Wild though. I'd much prefer a SeaWorld discount.

Ok, these sound too good to be true! I bet they will never be implemented.

* Bring a friend for $25 (during certain times of the year)

* Exclusive Annual Passholder hour (1 hr before or after park hrs---during certain times of the year)

* Annual Passholder Exclusive Behind the Scenes Tours

* Special Days when you can ride selected park rides twice in a row

Oh and I forgot the special passholder entrance. Don't I wish!

i received the survey saturday morning.

very little of the "club" items would benefit me as i do not live local.

the phrasing of "certain" days of a few of the possible perks wouldn't necessarily be available at the time i would visit.

i did leave a long comment on no mention of AP hotel discounts.

if the renewal rises much more, i am better off buying tickets in the future instead of keeping the AP. (my Ap is valid thru 4/10.)
hotel discounts is what keeps my AP worth it.
well, and the discounts for rip tours....

AAA gives the same food and merch discounts for the parks and city walk.

You know what makes me mad.Everyone gets to do these surveys and get promos from US.But us nothing..
We are signed up for E-Mail updates and AP holders,so what the heck..
We spend alot of money at US yearly,I would love to see some discounts..:confused3
I didnt want to bring this to the boards, but last weekend we spent a night at RPR for my DW B-Day.She wanted to party up so we went clubing. We got back to our room with the temp of of 79 inside. The following morning it still was and we were in a pool of sweat..We told front desk about it and it was like oh well..:sad2:

So when I got back home I gave a call to the manager at RPR.All we got was free parking rebate and possibly a room upgrade if available next stay..WOW....
Now this is the first problem we ever had here. But you would think they do something more then $16 credited to our card.:sad2:

Now if they want repeat buisness from me,they better start kissing some major butt..I mean this to.

I talked to RPR and Loews about this and I am still mad..

OK venting over.I will let Ya'LL know what comes of it!!!

I am sorry,I did this on the wrong thread..
