AP room discount?

I just booked a trip for November and would like to add one extra night without borrowing points. I'm an AP holder and have heard there are room discounts. Can anyone direct me to the site for booking a room with an AP rate? Is this the best option?

We're waiting to close on a contract that had an extended closing. It is supposed to close Thursday, 6/27. I didn't think those points would be available soon enough to secure a November trip, so I went ahead and booked the trip without the new points. The add on contract has been a long process!

You will have to call to book the passholder rate if you have a new RFID AP.

If you have an old tyvek (paper) AP, you can add that to your disneyworld.com account and should have access to the rates using the passholder website: disneyworld.com/passholder

have you checked to see if the DVC member discount rate (25% off) is available?
we were waitlisted for the night of oct 14 for months ( i didn't realize it was columbus day until i went to book our rtn flight).
AP rates aren't out for then (i was told probably late june), but was able to book the one night with member cash. i can't believe i'm saying this but being unable to book BW view (thanks, hurricane sandy) for our entire stay initially, worked out in the long run. if we had BW for our entire stay, we would have had to move that last night, rather than rest & relax for each of the two segments (since BW and BW standard views can only be booked on points).
now we have:
oct 5-12 in BW view
oct 12-15 P/G view (last night member cash, linked so no moving)

of course, we're still waitlisted for 12-15 BW view, or oct 14 night on points, but at least we won't have to sleep in the lobby

Cash reservations through MS can be linked to a points reservation. But a cash stay through Disney Reservation Center, like an AP reservation, cannot. You might have to move to a different location.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I booked one night cash ressie and linked to my other nights. Wow...a bit of sticker shock even with dvc discount!
