AP renewal question

Since we renewed last year when they 18 month promotion was going on, our APs expire while we are at WDW, halfway through our trip.

Can we get the DVC member discount while at WDW, or is it only on pre-purchase? Also, can we renew a few days before the expiration, or do we need to do it on the day of expiration?

I hope I didn't confuse anyone!

You can renew up to 60 days before your AP expires. You can renew at WDW at any Guest Relations location or Theme Park ticket window. You will get the member pricing as long as you have your blue membership card and government issued ids with photo for all adults (ages 18+) showing the same address as the member. If you renew at WDW prior to your current APs expiration date, you will be given a new AP that begins on the expiration date of your current AP. You will need to use your current AP until it expires, then start using the new one.

Not relevant to DisneyDudet's question, but Cheshire Figment says the ticketing office information states that it's only 30 days before (30 before, 30 after) despite the fact that apparently the AP website says 60 days ahead. YMMV - I've heard of people doing it earlier than 30 days and also heard of people being denied.
