Ap Rates--What did you get?

I got quoted 234$ a night for a water view at YC, Dec 6 to 14.... Compared to the quote I have from the Winter Dreammaker pak. I would end up saving only 175$ but if you factor in that I have to pay each time we want to go to DQ (kids have UPH passes which include DQ admission, and DSs were all excited that with these passes we could go every night to DQ) then the savings are not as good...so I'm sticking with my original pakage....

Hello To All,

I was on hold for about 7 minutes and got a rate that I am happy with.

We were booked for Dec. 18-Jan.2 at The Grand Floridian and were going to pay $5307.00 with a AAA discount. Now we are going to pay $3731.00!!!!!! One phone call saved me $1576.00!!!

I had a 30 minute wait at 9:30 am, and all the deluxes were gone by then (at lease for my early November dates!

We got the Coronado Springs for 88/night including tax--I am going to check out the other threads in the resorts forum to see what everyone thinks of this resort--I have never even seen it!

I will probably check back on occasion to see if a deluxe has opened up!

I called at 7am. Was on hold about 30 minutes. I wanted WL or AKL, but nothing available (except Deluxe Savannah at AKL - more then we wanted to spend) So I stayed with CSR. Got a rate of $99.17 with tax for waterview. We are staying 6 nights from 11/22-11/28.

I guess I got off pretty good in the wait line this AM...I called at 7AM was on hold 20 minutes and had to hang up to get the kids to school. Tried again a little before 10AM and got thru in less than 10 minutes. Got AKL concierge for $833 inc, tax for 3 nights in Nov.... that was $401 cheaper than the AAA rate for the same dates!!! I am a happy camper... $277/night including tax...not bad. They also had WL concierge and Tower Club at Contemporary available for the same dates (Nov 15 - 18)

I got the following:

POR - Standard - 10/29 to 11/03 - $110.39/night incl. tax
AKL - Standard - 12/26/03 to 01/02/04 - $121.54/night incl. tax

I was so pleasantly surprised by that AKL rate and my CM was too. He was like "wow!" I was originally looking for a moderate for that time frame (there were none) but at that rate, AKL here I come. I only have standards but going three times in five months I can't afford any special views or concierge. Maybe if I quit going so darn much. NO WAY!

I saw someone post here that they are staying through January. Did these AP rates carry over to that stay?? I thought this was only for stays through 12/26??

It applies to check-ins through 12/26. As long as you check-in on or before 12/26 your rate is good for the entire stay.

11/29 - 12/6:

After being on hold for 20 minutes, I got

Poly Garden View - $189.55/incl. tax.

I wanted to arrive on 11/28, but only Boardwalk and Yacht Club were available for those dates. I had the Winter Dream Maker w/ Disney Club, but after some number crunching I decided to give the rates a try. It's totally worth it for us! Before I was thinking maybe I'd have to go with CBR or CSR (which we love; we've stayed there before). But we so wanted the Poly, anything else would've been a letdown. Now I can't wait to call my wife and tell her the good news....

WE'RE GOING TO THE POLY BABY!!!!!!

I waited on hold for about 15 minutes (8:30 PST) and got BC Concierge WV for 372.00 reduced from the AAA rate of 531.00. So a bit of savings......for our dates October 18-28 the very nice CM told me that there was still availability at ASMusic(none of the other AS) for $77, CS or Carribean Beach both $110(no POR), no Beach Club Villas or Boardwalk, some rooms at GF and no standard BC/YC. Hope that helps someone!

What the heck were all the posts about the discounts NOT coming out today????

LOL @ me, I was so sure they would not be available, I slept in and never even turned on the computer until 10:30.

I did call around 11:00, was only on hold for about 3 minutes and was able to apply the discount to our AK savannah view reservation to $179 a night.

I did have another reservation for later in the week for Poly lagoon concierge. But I got fed up with all the "discounts/no discounts" confusion. And I had been reading a lot of negative reactions to Poly concierge, so I had cancelled that one and switched to the Swan.

Oh, wait a minute.....maybe al the negative posts were written by the same people who said no discounts today....oops

But, I have no regrets. I am looking forward to giving the Swan a try.

And hopefully my cancellation will give the Poly room to someone who had their heart set on it.

I called at noon (only had to wait ten minutes) and spoke to a wonderful CM. She told me that all of the existing reservations needed to be rebooked at AP rate through Guest Services. She put me on hold and she and the Guest Services CM took care of the whole thing.

So, my DC rate of $1,914 for the BWI Deluxe Concierge (12/12-12/16) changed to $1,400 with the AP discount (including tax). This is $350 per night, inc. tax. Good luck to everyone else!

I called today during my lunch break and was on hold for less than 5 minutes. The CM was a Chatty Kathy though, and I ended up being on the phone over 40 minutes!

Our first choice of the Wilderness Cabins was unavailable, but I got the WL woods view for $139/night (including tax) for 12/26-1/12. The system would only accept reservations for up to 14 nights, so I had to book the remaining 3 at rack rate ($244.19/night). The CM told me to call back WHEN (not IF) AP rates were released for the remainder of my stay...

We originally planned to drive down the day after Christmas, and I didn't want to book until the 29th, but I figured I'd add the few days on the front end so that the discount would apply. If dates come out for check-ins after the 26th, I'll shave a couple of days off of the beginning of our stay. I'd take them off the back end, but I'm running my first marathon on the 11th
