AP Rates the "Old Way"?

I know there were rumors, but does anyone know if DW is expected to release a "regular" AP rate code during the days they are now doing the Best Rate program?
I got the impression the old AP way was not dead and gone, but I would think the AP rates would have been released by now if they were going to, right?

Any thoughts?

According to the CM that phoned me after I e mailed WDW, he said there would be.

Last year, the Ap[ rates came out at the end of August for stays between the beginning of October and mid December

Yep, last year they came out August 25th so there is still a bit of a wait yet.

OK, so there's still hope that people will be able to book the old AP way....good.
Do you think the rooms are just going to be what's left over from the "Best Rate" program i.e. is it gonna be slim pickins? :confused3

Thanks for your responses. :flower:

My TA said there are rumors of code releases in the next couple of weeks. They are just 'rumors', though. I don't think anyone really knows, except maybe Tink! ;)

I had a CM tell me the same thing. Codes would still be released the "old" way. Not sure about room availability though. Might be slim. I am interested to see what happens.

Figure that the folks who used the Best Rate program would likely have wanted to pursue the regular AP rates when they were announced as well, so it's the same group of people going after the same set of discounts -- the only difference is that some folks got first pick of what was to be made available by making the commitment (with a non-refundable deposit) to take whatever would be made available, without any assurances of what that would be. So while perhaps there may be slimmer pickin's, it'll be no different than if the folks who have already secured their discounts had simply gotten through to CRO before you did, with the normal AP discount program.
