Does anyone remember what their AP rate was at the WL for value season 05? We stayed at the Polynesian in July 2005 and I think we paid $228 per night (before tax) for a garden view. I was wondering what the lodge/woods view and standard views were at WL for this time frame. Trying to plan for this coming summer!

Thanks so much!

I stayed at the WL last year from July 29 thru Aug. 1 (3 nights). My AP per night price before tax was $124.00 for a standard view (although I was given a free upgrade to a woods view at check in!)

THank you for the info! THat's great to know.

Anyone remember theit woods view rate?

I have never tried to get at AP rate. We are hoping to go in middle July this year and are thinking POLY. Do you guys go ahead and book the room as soon as you know the dates and then call back if and when an AP rate is announced? Are there only a certain amount of AP discounted rooms at each resort? TIA

For the past 3 years I have been booking through Dreams Unlimited. Right now I have two rooms at the WL booked with the AAA rate. This way, I know I have rooms and I'm not paying rack rate. It's about a 15-20% discount. Not too bad. My DU agent will keep her eye out for AP rates and if they come out she will have our reservation adjusted if the AP rate is better than the AAA rate. I will buying AP's for everyone in my party (5 of us - one child age 2 won't need one) because we're going this year AND next year and we plan to travel next July the 2 weeks before the AP's expire.

So, in a nutshell, yes I book the room I want when I know my dates - getting the AAA rate if available - then my DU agent adjusts the ressie when/if AP rates are released. Hope this helps!

Dh and I stayed at WL that same weekend. We also booked a standard at this price and were upgraded. I'm not sure if our upgrade was considered woods or water view. We were near the corner of the wing closest to the Contemporary. Our view was mostly of the woods, but we could see the water and the fireworks.
