OMG !!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe I've just saved $2475 over 22 nights.

This is fabulous !!

I got an AP rate for WL Courtyard View for $140 a night instead of $250

and then I got Yacht Club for Xmas but check-in on 19th so still value season for $174 a night instead of $289

These prices do not include tax.

I'd booked in at the Swan for Xmas because I didn't think I'd get a Deluxe Epcot resort hotel at an AP rate - I'm so chuffed with myself right now.

This makes an AP all the more attractive. I had to hold for 30 mins first but I got bored and hung up - then I ran back 10 mins later and got through in just over 10 mins. The CM told me there were waits for an hour and over 180 people holding - YIKES !!

Wow Sam...that's fantastic! First drinks on you on Saturday then, eh? ;)

Yeah right Penny lets face it I wouldn't be going to these resorts at the rack-rate but I reckon I could stretch to a round of drinks :p

Way to go Sam! Got to love those AP rates. We saved over £800 on rack rates for our last visit; not quite in the same league as your two grand plus, but nevertheless still a hefty saving. The saving on our accommodation almost paid for the cost of the annual passes.

No we didn't want to use points during Peak season of Xmas and Paul doesn't arrive until Peak season so it didn't seem worth it.

Not to worry we'll be going next year anyway so we'll use our points then and if not we'll bank them.

Wow, that's amazing! You must be thrilled and very excited :D.

My Dreams agent emailed me to tell me I couldn't get an AP rate for my stay, I don't know why - check in Dec 23rd at CBR. I'll be paying full rack rate for 8 nights .

Small World Travel just emailed me telling me my reservation has been changed to AP Rate. So I have saved $950 on 2 std rooms for 8 nights at POR (13th Dec - 21st Dec).

Total Cost now $1424 inc tax for both rooms

May even be able to upgrade the room now

That's what we normally end up doing with AP rates! Rather than taking the lower rates we have opted to spend the same amount as we originally budgeted, but upgrade to a better hotel.

Last holiday we originally budgeted to spend two nights at AKL (rest of the time at the All Stars), but becuase we got a great AP rate we eventually spent eight nights there (spending approximately the same amount as our first booking at rack rates). One of the main reasons we book DIY holidays is so that we can get APs and hope for good discounts on the accommodation.

Rob
