AP Rates for Hotels

Do they offer AP rates on hotel rooms two months before or a month before? I wanted to book a room at DLH in June (I might be too late for this but it's worth a shot), and didn't know if they could offer me a good rate in April, instead of waiting till May. Any help appreciated. TIA!

I doubt they will have much of an AP discount this summer, and in fact may not have any rooms available at all for June.

AP rates were just announced this week for June, I was able to get 5 nights at DLH for the last week of May at $179. for King DTD view.

Here's what I read from another site:

These rates will be here from now until the end of the year (according the info that I have right now... this may change later on).

Here are the rates!
Grand Californian Hotel sun-thur $199; fri-sat $239
Disneyland Hotel sun-thur $149; fri-sat $169
Paradise Pier Hotel sun-sat $139

Rates are subject to change without notice. Special AP rates are not available on all dates, depending on availability. Premium view rooms will have a higher rate.

thanks for the info zakerdog! They are still great rates compared to what I have seen on expedia. Hopefully they will have available rooms to use our AP on!

Almost forgot to ask. Do they charge your card the full amount when you book like they do for expedia and all those other sites? Or do they charge your card when you check in/out? I stayed at the DLH with my husband before but totally forgot what the heck they did because we were too excited to think of it.

The charge your card at check in. They just take your card number to hold the reservation.

Do you have to have the AP before you make the reservation or can you check to see if there are rooms available at the AP price before you purchase your AP?

You don't have to give them your AP # to get your reservation but you will need to show your pass when you check-in (if you didn't purchase APs with your package).

Perfect. So, do I have to call the disney reservation number or can I book online somehow with an AP rate?

Also, can I book two rooms with one AP or do I need two AP's?

Recently, you have needed the AP # to get AP rate quotes. While this policy changes like the wind, the CMs are very insistent about getting the AP# first.

I have a rate of $243.00 per night for June 15-18th. The rep said that is the AP rate. Why is it so high?

Go to the DL website and login to the passholder area. This will list specials and current discounts. I phoned about the "Sweet Dreams" rates on the website and the CMs had no clue what they were. Discounts for Summer are small, if they exist period.

You should phone directly into central reservations and talk to a CM. I call 714-781-3463 and follow the prompts.

Ok, Ok... I kept calling!!! And I actually got a hold of asomeone who knows their stuff ! My rate went from $243. per night to $119. the first night and $159. for the other 4 nights! Thats over $400. saved! Have a great time everyone! Thanks again!!! Patty
