I got an email this AM from Mouseavers w/the AP discount for early 2014, called & was told there are no preferred at POP and POR has nothing. I have 2/1-7 booked with the general discount, but i'll keep checking.

This availability issue is the reason I book at full rack room rate and then add the general discount when it comes out and then add the AP when it comes out. I saved over $600 at Pop Century for our 13 day stay in February. Kinda wish it was the one we had in Feb 2012 when it was 35% off value for AP holders but I will take 25% over nothing any day.

i booked my october and january room only stays before i got my ap.

once i checked in 9/30, i went to gs at mk and upgraded my tickets to the ap.
on my return, showed the front desk CM so my ap rate would be valid.

i had the AAA rate for jan 3/4 and the visa winter code rate for the rest of the january '14 stay.
called yesterday to switch the rate to the ap rate.


you don't have to have the ap in hand to book the stay.
you need to show proof of the ap once you check in to keep the ap room rate.

My dates fall into the 35% range, which is what I already booked with the public offer. However, there's no availability at the resort I booked anyway, so I'm happy to leave well enough alone. I really wasn't expecting a big AP discount anyway - they seem to be running very close to the public offers lately.

As to why the Poly would show rack rate, since the Poly shows on the list, I would guess that the rooms they set aside for the promotion have all been booked. They do limit the number of rooms they will discount at each resort, and with some rooms removed from inventory at Poly for the DVC project, they may not need additional discounts to fill the resort. They may also be using the discounts to encourage people to book resorts other than Poly by offering fewer rooms, so they don't have as many guest issues during their refurbishment. It could only be one night that is sold out at the discount rate, so you might want to play around with dates and see if the discount comes up for at least part of your trip.

The only thing that was different for me was that I could remove my park ticket from my prior discount rate. Under the Winter Rate Discount (no-AP), you had to have at least one day of a park ticket associated with the account.

I got an extra 2% off.... WHOA!!!!

Why would the AP rate for the Poly be the same as rack rate?

I am going in April and my search pulled up a standard view for $412/night as opposed to the $654/night rack rate, so you must be searching for a time when they are booked, or double check to make sure you are signed in. I get kicked out of MDE all the time and have to sign back in to have my discount show.

I can't seem to access the AP rates on line. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm logged in, my pass is listed on my profile (the expiry date is there). And when I check the special offers, it's only the general public discount coming up.

Does this mean that there's no AP rooms available for my dates? Or am I not on the correct link for the AP discounts?
