Is it easier or harder to book a room with AP rates than the discount codes (like those found on mousesavers)? (The discount codes rooms often get booked up!)

Thanks to anyone that knows.

It is usually easier to book an AP Holder rate because they aren't cut off like code discounts. You can usually make a reservation with the AP Holder rate up until the time you travel. Code discounts usually have a "book by" date that doesn't allow short-notice booking. The AP discounts are limited as well, so there may be certain dates or certain resorts that you find the discount not available.

I agree AP rates are easier but do have limited supply. For instance this past Feb. we decided on a last minute trip. About 2 1/2 weeks before we were to leave I called for an AP discount on a room at AS Movies and they were all sold out. I was able though to secure an AP rate at CBR and AKL. We decided to do the AKL and loved it! All other codes were already expired for our time frame so w/o our AP we would have had to pay rack rate.

Help! I'm new to this whole ball game. What's an AP rate? Who can get one? Thanks, Pye

AP stands for Annual Pass. (An annual pass gets you into Disney Theme Parks for a whole year, rather than the Parkhopper Passes which have a set number of days.)

What I was asking about is....Disney offers deep discounts on their hotels to people who own annual passes. Look at mousesavers.com for some rates!
