Sorry, couldn't think of a good title for this question.. What I was wondering was, how come I was able to book an AP rate for mid April (the "old" AP rates) just last week with no problem and now people are having trouble getting their dates the first day the rates are out? Is it because of cancellations that the rates open up again or is it just that this season that just opened is more popular?
In the past I have been able to book an AP rate after the initial rush of bookings. Granted I always call first thing in the morning and my dates are usually flexible. The reason I ask is because we may not be going in April and I am looking at a late June/early July trip which these rates cover. But I don't want to book it today as I'm not sure we will go, but on the other hand I would hate to miss out on the rate if we do end up going.
What do you think?
