AP Rates are out

Thanks Mark!

For a horrible moment I thought August had been released and I'd missed them

Me too!! :teeth:

Panic over...! Let's hope they come along soon....however, over on the main US resorts board some people are saying that they have heard Disney will not be releasing ANY codes this summer! Check out the resorts board --- it is buzzing after the AP code release! It's crazy!

:wizard:

What are you hoping for Frances? I am only trying to book one night before DVC so it's not life or death, but I thought everyone had got a great rate apart from me, LOL

Sorry me again!

I seem to remember the Resort board, every time AP rates are due, ends up in speculation that there will not be any!!! So I'm trying to take no notice ;)

it has been madness!! There are threads with over a hundred pages of posts!

I'm so glad I got mine!!

LOL. I am taking the Resort board comments with a pinch of salt too. I can't see Disney scrapping codes :) They're far too nice ;)

We're hoping for 10 nights Polynesian Lagoon View from 5th August - 15th August. I have a ressie with Dreams Unlimited (with the AAA rate) at the moment, but hopefully our agent will be able to apply the AP code when it is released.

Good luck to everybody trying for codes....and congratulations Nick! AKL is magical!

Frances999

Can you give me some more info on AKL please? I realise with a standard view I'll not be looking out over the Savannah's but is it easy to get to places you can see out to the animals? I am not normally one to spend a great deal of time at the hotel but hopefully I'll be able to check out the pool and everything else this place has to offer.

Thanks

Nick :cool1:

Nick, there are a whole variety of public viewing areas to see the savannah from, many of which have Cast Members on hand to answer questions etc.

I will try and upload all of my photograph's up onto Imagestation and PM you the link. If you have any specific questions, just shout! I loved AKL and I hope we can return some day.

:wizard:

Got my AP code for the Yacht Club waterview :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

AKL is a lovey resort Nick you will love it :) The pool is really nice and large and in October didn't get at all over busy. There are plenty of places to view the animals put the back including little balconies along some of the landings with huge rocking chairs.

Claire ;)

Congrats Claire! How long did it take you to get it all done - it took about 35 minutes for me to get through and then another twenty minutes to go through all the details!

I didn't call myself as I book through a WDW specialist TA. 35 minutes doesn't sound too bad considering some people on the resorts board waited over an hour!!

Oh how wonderful Frances. I am desperate to stay at the Poly one day! Here's wishing you Nick's luck with AP rates :wizard:

Nick, you never know - you might luck out and get an upgrade to Savannah :)

Thanks Karen. Good luck to you too! You must give the Poly a try one day.... I was actually hesitant about it last year before our April trip. The only reason I booked was because it was all that was left with the spring general public code. However, it was truly out of this world :flower:

Where are you trying to get for before your DVC trip?

Well ...... I would love to try the Poly. But for the first night, when we arrive it will be lateish and I just can't justify the $$$ for the Poly on that basis. We are thinking of maybe staying at RPR at Univeral for the final weekend of our trip (we haven't got enough DVC points for that!).

So, I am happy with pretty much whatever we get for the first night but I am keen to try Pop or maybe CBR. I'm pretty flexible and in truth will be happy with whatever I can get!! If there are no AP discounts then I will go for Pop :)

I know why I fell in love with the Poly, but what about you?

How does this photo I took last April sum it up?! I posted it on the WDWINFO community gallery :flower:

View from our room, 1038.

Seriously though, I just loved everything about the resort. The views, the ambiance, the restaurants, the shops, the *huge* rooms, and best of all the excellent location. Furthermore, I loved the walkway to the GF - it was great for enjoying the Grand's restaurants in the evening. The CMs were amazing too...always giving a cheery "Aloha"!

I like the look of POP it looks fun and well themed. There are so many resorts and so little time!

Yes. That picture says it all! Thank you :)

I totally agree with everything you have said above. I just fell in love with the Poly

Sorry for going OT
