Yes, you can. You will just have to show them the activated AP at some point during your trip, or they may charge you rack rate instead. You can't access the AP section of the website without at least an AP voucher though.

I checked to see if it would save me any money to convert my 40% bounceback to the AP rate, but it would actually cost me over $300 more, because I booked a standard view at YC at 40% and they only had the more expensive water view available at the 42%. My September bounceback was also better than the September AP rates (45% bb vs 40% AP), so I didn't change that one either. I wonder if the AP rates will be better than the just released GP rates in January? I booked the GP 40% off for January and I doubt I'll do better when the AP rates come out. Never say never, though!

I know a lot of people have been complaining that the AP rates aren't better than other codes out there, and I don't understand the complaints. I don't care if my discount is a bounceback or an AP code or a GP code - so long as I can get a good rate. I don't feel offended as an AP holder because I booked under something else. Personally, I like having different offers to choose from, because each vacation is different. Maybe it's the dining plan? I don't buy the dining plan, so I usually stick with room only reservations instead of packages, and I don't need the AP discount to be able to buy the DDP without buying a ticket.
