AP Rates are OUT!!

I was able to convince DH to make a quick trip to the "world" in January thanks to the AP rates - $49 per night was just too good to pass up, so we're try ASMu this time around. I'm ready for my mini-getaway!!!:woohoo:

I just booked a standard studio (value) at AKVillas for $129/night. Better than my $198/night from Member Services. Whoohoo!! :cool1:

Kristen

Wow!!! Did anyone else get this rate at AKVillas? I called twice for my dates in late January, but no luck. What a great deal! Have fun!

On a side note, I have never had such a difficult time understanding anyone (cm had an incredibly thick accent), so the call was especially time consuming (as the long distance minutes are ticking away) with lots of me saying 'pardon me, what did you say?').
Well, it all ended with a good result.

I would like to add that this cm was very courteous and I was always very nice and patient about my inabilitiy to understand her.

Now I am thinking of calling back anyway and possibly switching the one rack night at WL (standard view Sunday $245) to one night at a value. :)
edited to add that there are no values available for that night. So much for that. Well, at least no moving around then. :) tink

The AP rate for my 2 nt stay at BWI was only $3 less than my AAA rate. Totally bummed! Oh well, that's one free soda:flower3: .

Today I checked online and saw that WL was available for $175 per nt for our stay so I called and changed again. I just could not pass up the $100 per nt difference.:woohoo:

I have called several times trying to get a rate at POR but was unsuccessful so far. This morning I called right after 7 AM and was told they were updating the computers to call back in about an hour. I called back and was on hold for about 4 minutes. I had ressies at POR for a Std view room at $149/ night but with the AP rate, I got a Water view room for $115/night. These were weekend rates. Maybe they were updating the problems and prices this morning so if you had questions or got bad rates, I would call back today. It's worth a shot.

Thanks for the heads up! I called CRO today but when I questioned the AP rate I booked online, the CM could not see the per night rate and initially tried to spin some line that the AP rate wasn't available the weekend night I was questioning. So I politely asked him to enter the same dates, same resort, and see what AP rates he came up with. Sure enough, for him, the weekend night was lower and the same as all the other AP nights ($115 for water view at CBR). I opted to have him book a new reservation for me based on what he found and cancelled my original one.

Wonder how many other people are perhaps overpaying because they are unaware the online site had a glitch.

I agree, that is why I keep posting the same info over and over again. It would be nice if the main info boards would post that the website is offering higher prices than if you call. Someone official needs to get the word out, at least until they fix the ap website. Can you imagine how many folks out there booking that don't belong to disboards. :confused3

Hi, was anyone able to get BC or YC standard view AP rates? When I called yesterday all they had was concierge. The rate was so high I didn't even bother to write it down!

He did say that they may release standard AP rates next week, meaning this week. I thought they did them all at once for AP for each time frame?

Thanks for any help!!

When I called on the morning the AP rates were released, they were offering YC std for $275. We were booked at BWI w/AAA for $276.25 but the cast member changed me to $275. When I checked the AP website Sat. morning YC was no longer available but suddenly WL was for $175 so I called and changed to WL. I would keep checking every day if I were you. I know for our trip this past June, YC std was not available the day rates were released either but 2 weeks later they were.:confused3

Wow, that does sound like what the CM told me too! Thanks, I'll keep trying.

I just called again to see if there were any rooms open for AP rate for when I will be at WDW in Dec 20-23. I was told that holiday rates start on Dec 20 and there would be none. I talked to her a minute, (she was really nice) and got her to check the code. She said there were rooms avail at a different resort. I decided to keep the resort I had but if you are told there are no AP rates Dec 20 -23, there really are!!!
