AP Rates are OUT!!

Tink...I can't get into the AP site this morning, either.

Does anyone have sample AP rates for standard rooms at BC/YC?

Anyone else having trouble accessing the AP site this morning?
tink

I can't get in either, under my number nor my husbands. Hopefully they are fixing it as the prices coming up yesterday were incorrect. They were not discounting weekends, but should've. I normally never have a problem with their site (as others often do).

are the discounts out so far only for January and February? Our AP's expired last month, but we didn't renew because we're having our wedding in April and we'll get AP's as a part of that package. NOw I can't get into the passholder site to see, so I'm not sure if it's becuase our passes expired or if it's because the site is having trouble.

I booked AP with the rack rate weekends. If this was a mistake, as you mentioned above, will they correct it or will I have to call to get it corrected. Thanks! :) tink

You should call now and have them adjust it. I went online yesterday and saw that the weekends were not discounted, but then someone on the boards said they called and they were discounted, so I called. Yes they were discounted and I booked a moderate room for Saturday night 1/26 for $99 a night and the website was listing it at $149 a night. I logged on this AM and it was not corrected yet. I would look into it right away just in case they make you cancel your reservation and rebook. Good luck and post back.

Definitely, call. I called again today when the Florida resident code was released to see if I could move over to POFQ from CSR with a king bed. I told the CRO rep that the website was not pulling the right prices and she said she was not surprised, that they'd had problems with their system also. She said it always takes a few days to get all the glitches out when new codes are released.

Glad I checked here. I've been having trouble getting into the website, too. They keep telling me to clear my history and cookies, but it hasn't made a difference.

Thanks

Finally able to get into the AP site. It is still showing rack rates for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Thanks for letting me know I better call and check on my AP booking to see about getting those weekend rack rates removed. Are we only able to call to check on AP rates during daytime hours? Are we sure the rack rates are not supposed to be there? Thanks! :)

It is because the AP discounts are a flat rate ($50, it looks like) and the AAA is a percentage. On the more expensive rooms the % is going to be better than the flat rate, so AAA trumps AP.

Thanks Jackskellingtonsgirl. This is the first time I ever had a better price with AAA rates. Standard room at YC was $700 cheaper than WL. Oh well, it is my honeymoon so I guess we will splurge.

We had better stop talking about AAA rates being so good. Since the Disney folks monitor discussion boards, they will do away with the AAA next.

Where are you staying? The Values have different rates for the weekends ($69, I think) and $49 during the week. The mods are $99/night all week. I know that to be the case - I booked CSR over a weekend and it shows the same price for each night. I also got a quote on SSR for the weekend, and it was $502 ($149x3 + tax). No one seems to be too sure what the deal is on the deluxes. Just call CRO and tell them that you booked a trip but you think the rates were wrong, that you thought the discount was for every night. Or price out a new reservation and if the amount is different, ask them why. They know the system has not been working right so they ought to fix it for you if there was a glitch.

I agree, folks need to call because the AP website is not giving accurate rate information.

Sunday is not included in the promotion time frame, so it is 245 pn
Mon-Thurs is 175 pn
Fri and Sat are 225 pn

Total for 7 nights is 1456

I will call. I have to sneak the phone call as DGS is over today and he does not know about this yet. He is my little Disney buddy. ;)

Please post back after your phone call. As I've mentioned, the website is posting $149 for 1/26 (a Saturday night), but when I called CRO I was quoted $99 for that same night. The CM said that the AP site was experiencing some glitches. Hopefully you'll get the weekends for the same price as the weekdays.

I have called several times trying to get a rate at POR but was unsuccessful so far. This morning I called right after 7 AM and was told they were updating the computers to call back in about an hour. I called back and was on hold for about 4 minutes. I had ressies at POR for a Std view room at $149/ night but with the AP rate, I got a Water view room for $115/night. These were weekend rates. Maybe they were updating the problems and prices this morning so if you had questions or got bad rates, I would call back today. It's worth a shot.

Ok, I called today about our previously booked 7 night at WL. My concern was that I was paying AP for M-Thurs, but rack for Fri and Sat. The CM checked and said we are paying the AP rate 175 pn for Mon-Saturday :goodvibes but of course still paying 245 (rack) for the Sunday that is not included in the AP promotion. She said the total comes up to 1456 because of the added tax. Well, I am happy that the AP rate is for the week. :)

I wish they would correct the AP site to reflect that the AP rates include the weekends as well.

On a side note, I have never had such a difficult time understanding anyone (cm had an incredibly thick accent), so the call was especially time consuming (as the long distance minutes are ticking away) with lots of me saying 'pardon me, what did you say?'). I knew I should have called back to get someone else because I was also calling to check availability elsewhere at the same time. I finally had to tell her to please quote the prices using single numbers such as two two four four instead of two thousand forty four, that is how bad it was.

Well, it all ended with a good result.
