AP rate question

O.K. this might be a weird question, but here goes....I have a room at PC July 31-Aug.7 that I have just paid in full. At the same time that I paid for the room, I bought our first AP's (yay!) If an AP rate comes out for August, can I still apply it to the room to have a "credit" (for lack of a better word I guess) to charge things back to the room? I had heard some time ago on the boards that people overpaid their rooms in advance so that they would have cash on their ressies that would be available for room charging priveledges. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes, this is true, and we've done it many times!
Nice to have some "credit" when you check in!

Just watch these boards and mousesavers.com for the AP codes when they are released.

Thanks so much for the quick response! I was hoping I could do this, as I don't have much money saved for spending as of yet. I have the AP's paid for, the room is paid for, and I have set aside $100 per day for food. Now for another question, is there any place that anyone knows of that you can buy water park tickets in advance? We will be the only people in our group of 20 or so that will not have PHP or UPH tickets and will have to wait in line to purchase tickets to the water park if we can't find them in advance.

I checked there and didn't see them. Are they on the same page with the PHP passes? I already get the Mousesavers newsletter and haven't seen them there either. I guess I'm not looking in the right place?

Don't worry, though, with your AP, you'll get a discount off your TL or BB tickets!
But, you have to buy these at the waterpark gates with your AP in your hand to get the discount.

Maybe you can get the discounted tickets with your AP at DTD guest services, but I've never done that.

Do you think maybe I could buy the water park tickets at my resort? I know you can get tickets there, but are they just hoppers, or what?

For the AP discount, you have to buy them at the water park.
Just like the DisneyQuest AP discount, you have to get them at DQ's ticket window.

Tried to do this before and that's what we were told, and did.

You could buy them at your resort, they just won't be discounted.

I'm thinking I may just get them at the resort. Isn't the discount only like $4 or something? I think I'd rather pay the extra $12 and not stand in the line! Thanks for the response, you've been a great help!
