Looking maybe to buy these for my upcoming trip and was wondering what experiences folks from the UK had of buying them in advance?

Also, presumably it is one year from when you activate it, not when you order it?

Last one for now - One of the main reasons I would like to get this is to maybe get discount on accommodation in Disney - I know that they don't do certain dates - does anyone know whether AP holders are likely to be given codes for early June?

We brought our AP Vouchers last year to get a good exchange rate

You are right that they are valid from the date you activate it.

Not sure about the code's though, I am sure someone will be able to help though.

Beyond the park entrance aspect of the AP, did you find there were good extra benefits that you made use of?

Yes definately

We have taken full advantage of the Dining and Shopping discounts This year we have purchased the Disney Dining Experience Card. We have also used it to get discounts on tours and mini golf.

I was going to do that as well (discount on the tours that is) - the crucial part will be the room rate discount - if I can get any!! It will make it about the same price as a 7 Day ticket for me (I'm going to use some old tickets for PI and BB so don't mind too much missing out on the extra options). If you can get 10% off at World of Disney, then I'll probably end up saving the cost of the whole pass!!!

Does it get you any discount on pins?

I *think* if you buy your pins at WoD you do. You can also buy special pass holder pins

I haven't used the benefit for room rates as we are DVC Members It certainly works out the best pass for us

It is great if you can fit in more than one trip too

Nick - yes you do get 10% off pins if bought at World of Disney.

We found the discounts saved us lots - they mini golf in particular was good.
