AP Question

Okay - so we have started the process of buying 160 points at SSR (I am not posting anything official until we are "in").

I have a question about APs. We will be at WDW in December. After the purchase goes through, we will more than likely make reservations in November 2005. If we want to get APs, should we wait until we are at WDW? Does the year start the day we buy them or the day of first use?

Thanks!

I would buy now to avoid any price increase, usually in early October. You get a voucher now and your years starts when you first use it.

You can buy the voucher through the Disney Store ahead of time and activate them when you get to the parks. In this case, they start the day of first use. If you wait to buy them at the parks, the cost will be the same, and they will activate right away.

When you activate the voucher, you have to go to guest services, so I guess I would buy them at the park.

An addition to diane's comment: you can also buy the AP Vouchers on-line at disney.com. And there's a Guest Services at DTD that wasn't very busy when we went to activate ours.

The just increased the AP prices this Spring, so I don't expect they'll be doing a subsequent increase. Save your money (and interest costs) until you get to the parks.

We are looking forward to buying APs this November, then returning three more times within the subsequent 12 months. We expect to get 20 or more park days out of them. Oh yeah!

Unless I missed it, AP were not included in this springs increase, just the one days, and hoppers. They usually adjust the AP price Oct 1st.

the AP were included in this pass spring price hike, we were just going to buy them that weekend and on that sunday the prices were higher, so we decided to wait until we get closer to leaving.

Annual passes certainly did see a price increase this past spring! I was buying one a month and paying off before our July trip and adult pass went from $392.99 to $403.64. Child passes went up as well to $342.93, but I don't remember from what. Not really a significant increase at all but up nonetheless.

Oo. I was just going to ask a similiar question LOL.

They price they're showing right now for an annual pass at disney.com is: 403.64 per adult. I thought it was higher at the gate?
