AP question

I was hoping you could help me with an AP question. We upgraded to AP's at the end of our vacation in October on 10-14-15 which is the date that shows on our power passes. We are wanting to do a 5 day stay in September but when I call to check AP status it says valid until 8-15-16. We have found great prices on flights and want to book tonight but now we are nervous to since the automated recording says August. Any advice? Would you go off the recording or the AP I have in hand? TIA

the day you first use those tickets,( and not the date you converted them to APs) wil be the date of expiration of the following year.

use them august 1 2015 for the park, upgraded august 4th, then august 1 2016 is your expiration date.

like bumber asked, what number are you calling?
i'm not aware of any automated number to check ticket expiration dates..

might be a handy number to have though

866-PASS-4FUN. We used the passes for the 1st time 10-5-2015 so I am going to go ahead and book. Thanks!

I just wanted to double check about the date of the conversion...I was told the day that I convert my tickets to the AP would be the start date of mine. Do you know where to find out for sure?

policy can change and no one gives me the memo !!! o_O

if the system is now the date of the upgrade, i will look and try to find if that is new policy.

i have worked with information that the first day the tickets were used is the start date of the ap when upgraded.
let me check and see if i am working based on outdated info.

i will come back and let all know what i am told.
if i am not back within 2 days, send me a heads up by pm.

It has always been that the day you first use the tickets that you convert, will be the first day of use for your AP as well. It makes no sense otherwise. Universal is not in the habit of giving out free tickets and that is basically what they would be doing if they make the first day of use for your AP the day you convert them.

I think perhaps there is confusion about the first day you use your AP compared to the date you purchase your AP.

Were you by any chance converting Costco tickets that had been previously used? I think that Costco deal had long expired but that's the only way I can think of that would make your APs effective on a different date. They should have an expiry date on them that corresponds to the first use of the tickets you converted.

Damo is on the mark with this question

The place you can call or send an email to is the AP hotline
Preferably talk to the TM there by phone
