Ok so my daughter lives down in LB and we have been talking about getting her a so cal AP in the next few months...for some strange reason I had some crazy notion in my head so I need clarification..

If she purchases the AP on the mo payment plan and gets the eticket...and the day she wants to go in and redeem that eticket for her actual pass, if it is a blackout date what happens??? will they let her in? will they make her pay the blockout day ticket price????

If she cant get in on a blockout date her first time using it, if I prepay for a 1 day 1 park ticket, which is $87, can she go in and I use that ticket to upgrade her to her AP that day? and will she be able to use it at both parks or what would happen there???

She can use the pass on a the first day even if it is a blockout day.

Something to consider for cost is to buy it thru the California TSA credit union. You can save some money.

It will not work with a monthly plan. But it is cheaper. And since she lives in SoCal I thought she might have a connection to an active or retired teacher. My MIL is a retired teacher, as is my sis and SIL. So I buy through the TSA. I was just throwing it out there for you you or anyone to consider. :)

Hi
you are correct, you can purchase a one day pass and she would use that to upgrade to an AP. FYI: the passport prices increased on May 20th & passports r now processed at the main ticket booths outside the park and no longer in the park. What u should do is purchase her passport and they will give u a blockout day pass valid for her admission on her first day.
