AP Question- UPDATE

So we are planning a trip for early December of this year. We are still deciding on 8 or 10 days. We always like to have a couple of non park days. Still I don't know if a 5 day park hopper will be enough. Darn them! I love being able to pop into the parks to have dinner or sit in Cars Land and people watch. So now I am trying to talk DH into buying deluxe AP's. None of our days would be blacked out. So my question is if we bought our AP's now but didn't use them until December, when would they expire? Or would it be better to buy them when we get there on Dec 3rd? He is seriously not liking the price. I told him we would just have take another trip before they expire to make it worth it. Good thing he loves Disneyland as much as I do!

If you buy an AP voucher today and activate it on Dec. 3rd 2016, your expiration date would be Dec 3, 2017. The AP does not become active until you are at the parks.

We go every December for 7-8 days and the Deluxe AP is our best option. I know you only have plans for five full days, but I know you *will* want to pop in for a meal or snack on the off-days! Staying within walking distance of the parks makes popping in soooo tempting! We always go to the Carnation Cafe for breakfast and see Oscar before we fly home, so the AP allows us that quick jaunt. Plus you get some discounts on meals and souvenirs, so ummmm there's that! Yeah! I vote AP! lol.

We just bought our deluxe today. You can buy now. Use 12/3. Expires 12/3/17. Watch the Dec blackout dates.

So DH agrees that we should probably just go ahead and get AP's. Woo hoo!! So now I will get to plan a trip for 2017 also. Maybe for Halloween time. We have never been during then.
