AP question (i should know this!)

I would like to purchase AP's for me and my husband. I was thinking of getting them now before the price increase even though we aren't going to Disney until September. We'll be there in December and then again in January so APs are totally worth it for us.

However, I just read in a previous thread that APs start from date of purchase, not the first day you use them. Is that correct? So if I purchase them today, the pass would be good til July 2011? Or, would it be good 12 months after I first use them?

If you pre-purchase an AP you will get either an exchange voucher (requires mailing fee) or a confirmation number. Your year will not start until you pickup the actual AP when you get to Disney.

Prices have gone up on the first Sunday in August for the last couple of years. The Friday before was when word of the change started to get out.

Does anyone know if they are still offering 15 months instead of 12 for renewals. Ours don't expire until the end of November and not sure how to renew to be able to take advantage of the 15 months (if still being offered). Any help would be appreciated!

up to 30 days before or after the expiration date.

Costs go up for everyone. Their vendors, their employees likely get raises, etc etc.

The year from time of exchange only applies to new APs. The expiration date for renewals is based on the anniversay date of the pass being renewed.

I plan on buying AP's thru DVC for our upcoming Oct. trip. I plan on just picking them up when I get to Disney...do you pay for them in advance or when you pick them up? Would like to order them prior to any rate increases as a PP mentioned may happen in August.

If you order them via MS or the member website, you will pay when the order is placed. You will get either a confirmation number or pay to have exchange vouchers mailed to you. You then will need to go to a guest services or theme park ticket window to get the actual AP.

very easy.

pick up at will call at any park or DTD guest realtions and the tickets go into effect the day we pick them up
