If I purchase my AP pass before I check in at the BC. do I still have to go to the International Gateway before I check in, to get it activated? Or can I check in first, and do it when I go to the park the next day?

Good news.

You can check in first and activate your pass later. From what I understand is if you booked at the AP rate you don't have to show your pass right away at check in but you can do it later on. I did this last year. I booked a room at the AP rate with the intention on going to the park and buying it and then checking in but was told that as long as I showed it sometime during the stay I was golden. So that's what I did.

Have fun on your trip!

that's right! we checked in to AKL last summer in the early am and just showed front desk my voucher. They said to come back by front desk next day after you've activated it. Front desk had no problem with this. Don't even remember if I even came back to the front desk or not with it?! LOL!

They didn't even ask to see my AP (which I hadn't purchased yet) when we checked into the CSR in Feb. She just said "Boy, you really got a great rate" and I said "Thanks!" :)

We were at the GF in Nov with the AP rate. We had paid for the resort before we got there. When we checked in the CM didn't even ask to see my AP. I did have the actual pass, I bought it at DtD on the way to the resort. I am almost positive if you have the voucher that's all you need.

We were not asked to see our APs either last November at BWI.

Not only were we not asked for our AP, the people who checked us in asked if we needed park passes! This happened twice - once at Poly and once at YC.

Seems like a lot of people could get away with not having an AP. I'm too honest and too afraid of being caught and humiliated, so I keep renewing the AP.
