AP purchase at the resort?

Is it possible to purchase AP passes right at the resort when we arrive (SSR) or do we have to buy them when we get to the parks?

You can't buy AP or PAPs at the resorts. You'll need to get them at Guest Services, either at the parks or at DTD. We've gotten ours either in the mail or purchased them outright at the International Gateway at Epcot. Never seems to be any line there.

I always buy my AP through DVC, I call the number on the back of my membership card. You get a $100 discount on an AP, can't beat that

You can also get the $100 DVC discount at the park windows or Downtown Disney, just show your card and ID.

Took me less than 5 minutes at MK to get my AP (with discount). Bought the "little guy" one in 5 minutes at MGM.

We want to convert our 7 day PH passes to AP this trip. I've heard that it's best to use one day and then convert. Not sure why. Can anyone confirm this? TIA!
