AP price just went up, too?

Just looked at the DVC site to purchase new AP's. Did my eyes deceive me or did the price for AP's just go up, too?

I just ordered 2 APs from DVC website yesterday. Today the price went up

I'm having trouble doing the math, which is always the case as I'm an English teacher and we can't add! Anyway, our old APs were $314.00 tax included, and the new ones are $441.98, and we would still deduct $100.00 for DVC discount, right? So, how much did they actually go up as this price includes tax according to Mousesavers and the DIS charts? I can't make sense of all of the charts and I can't find regular AP info on Disney's website.

The "old" AP price was $395 for an adult (before tax and DVC discount).
If you take the tax out of the new price of $441.98, it comes out to $413.25.

So the price of an adult AP went up $18.25 for 2006. Happy New Year!

New Adult DVC price: $315 + tax = 335.48 ($21.30 more)

Old child DVC price: $251 + tax = 267.32

New child DVC price: $277 + tax = $295.01 (27.69 more)

old prices were taken from dvcmember.com and new prices came from WDW online ticket store hyperlink from member site.

Darn! I just realized yesterday that the prices were going up, so I tried to order my tickets last night. I could never get through to the site - I kept getting "the site is too busy at the moment, try again later" message.

The old prices are still showing online. Wouldn't you still be able to get the old price if you purchased it now?

Yesterday I saw posts that said the MYW passes were going up. I didn't see any mention of the AP's increasing, but I took a chance and ordered 2 AP's, so it looks like I saved ~$40!

But... I guess I really didn't 'save' anything; Disney will still end up getting my $40 one way or another!!

For once we got in before the increase. We just returned a week ago and purchased our APs.
